To know all that follow this quick and simple guide which will take you barely 15-20 minutes if you have finished the game already. So here goes!
Witcher 3 – How To Get the Henry Cavill Armor from Netflix DLC?
The Witcher 3 Netflix DLC is a new scavenger hunt-style quest that takes place inside The Devil’s Pit in Velen. The Devil’s Pit, if you remember, is the place you find yourself immediately after leaving the starter zone of White Orchard. It’s that big, circular, wooden-fence-ringed place where nothing seems to actually happen. Earlier, there were only some humanoid enemies in there and it acted like the training / loot farming place for players. But the big door to the mine inside was closed. This DLC opens those doors and allows you to hunt the new Netflix and Henry Cavill inspired armor. So, here’s what you have to do.
- Recommended Level – 15; Recommended special equipment – Keira Metz Lamp, Torch/Cat Potion
- Fast Travel to the Devil’s Pit checkpost and in case you haven’t discovered it yet, fast travel to the Hangman’s Tree and then head Southeast towards the huge circular figure you see on the map. This is devil’s pit.
- As soon as you arrive at the entrance, you’ll find an Eternal Fire priest. Talk to him to begin “In The Eternal Fire’s Shadow” Quest and obtain the key to the Devil’s Pit mines.
- Now enter the Pit and fight off the bandits if you haven’t yet. Even if you have cleared the pit before 4-5 bandits will still attack you. Kill them and open the mines using the key.
- Inside the mine, you’ll need to either use the cat potion or torch to see better. Now using your Witcher senses and Keira Metz’ lamp, search the mines. Throughout the mines you’ll find 5 letters by Reinald and be careful as while searching for them you’ll encounter a few plague infected enemies.
- One of these letters will also give you more details about the boss you’ll be fighting at the end of the quest, so prepare accordingly if you at lower levels.
- Now to enter first tunnel towards the right near the entrance to the mines and proceed forward till come you come across a double door where you’ll find the 5th and final letter by Reiner.
- Before you proceed make sure you’ve crafted Reinald’s Philter especially if you are at lower levels as preparation is a must in Witcher 3. If you are at higher levels however, then it won’t matter much.
- Enter the door, free Reinald, proceed to fight him and then finally fight the main boss “Red Miasmal” who will also summon plague infected minions from time to time.
- Once you are done, interact with Reinald’s ghost about the “Forgotten Wolven Armor”. After that you’ll be given a choice but no matter what you choose you’ll walk away with the Forgotten Wolven Armor Diagrams. (The ideal choice, however, would be to bring the priest in and convince Reinald he’s good which would end in Reinald’s spirit departing peacefully and the priest will survive as well)
- Now that you have the diagrams, fast travel to Kaer Morhen and inside the castle’s hall, you’ll find upgraded diagrams after climbing up the ladder to some book shelves (just above the dinner table).
- Once you do that, you’ll receive diagrams for MasterCrafted Forgotten Wolven Set as well as Grandmaster Forgotten Wolven Set (featured below). Of course, now your resource grind will commence if you want to craft and upgrade the armor. Also, if you want a video guide, then check here.
The basic Forgotten Wolven set will be Geralt’s armor from season 1, MasterCrafted set would be similar with a few minor changes to the look but major changes to the stats, and the GrandMaster set (featured above) will look like Geralt’s season 2 armor and its set effect makes it one of the best armors in Witcher 3. It has the capability to go up against any of the other 6 Grandmaster armors in the Game. But of course, it will take some time and a lot of money to upgrade it to the GrandMaster set. In some cases time taken to upgrade it might exceed the time you spent in the actual quest.
