The Witcher Blood Origin Reshoots Wrapped, Release Date and New Looks

The Witcher: Blood Origin is an upcoming period horror-fantasy series based in the world of Witcher. It is basically a prequel series that takes place thousands of years before the events of The Witcher and The Nightmare of the Wolf. In the rapidly expanding cinematic world of Witcher, this upcoming mini series will serve as a great appetizer before The Witcher Season 3. Good news is that we have a cool update about it.

The Witcher: Blood Origins Wraps Reshoots

RedanianIntelligence reported that after two weeks of additional work, the reshoots for The Witcher: Blood Origin is now complete.  That means that it effectively wraps the  production for the limited series. The reshoots took place Cowleaze Wood in the Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve north-west of London. It involved night action sequences in a camp as you can see in the pictures shared below. Also, it’s being reported thay the reshoot involved Laurence O’Fuarain who will portray Fjall in the series.

Based 1200 years before the current timeline, Blood Origin will be based in the time when conjunction of spheres took place. We will talk more about this in the next segment. Blood Origins is going to be a six-part miniseries inspired by the writings of Andrzej Sapkowski. Its main cast includes Sophia Brown, Laurence O’Fuarain, Michelle Yeoh, Lenny Henry, and Jacob Collins-Levy.

The Witcher: Blood Origins is all set to release this year. It was earlier speculated to have summer 2022 release but that’s not going to happen. So, we’re looking for an autumn or winter release. We saw the glimpses of it at the end of The Witcher Season 2 and it definitely looks promising. Good thing about it is that it will provide something new to the fans of the universe be it games, books or cinema.
