Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It follows the story of Denji, an impoverished young man who after making a contract with a dog-like devil named Pochita, he fuses with Denji, granting him the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. The first season of anime TV adaptation of Chainsaw Man ended two week ago and second season is expected to debut later this year. But today we are going to talk about the ongoing manga which is all set to debut its chapter 118 this week.

Turning Denji into a sword doesn’t work. Yoru keeps trying but it doesn’t work. So, Denji touches her back and says Asa spiral sword thinking she’s joking and that its her her way of saying goodbye. Asa and Yoru discuss why it didn’t work and Asa thinks it didn’t work because Denji still hasn’t fell in love with her. Yoru says that she has now learned that they both can share emotions and affections as well so they’ll keep trying. Then Yoru says she needs to sleep but Asa asks her about the girl who trapped them.
Yoru says it’s been long since she last saw Famine Devil and warns Asa that Fami is crazy. Yoru crashes on the bed but Asa starts thinking about Denji and how he said all those things but still doesn’t feel for her that way. She keeps thinking about him and all the things he said and finds it hard to sleep. Denji at school invites Asa for a late night movie date as a part of his Super-Best-Ever-Date plan. Asa refuses on hearing that it will cost 2000 Yen and says video rental is cheaper. Denji then asks if her house has VCR, she doesn’t have it but Denji’s house has it.
“Then let’s do it at your place. It’s cheaper that way”, says Asa. Denji is surprised and tries to reject but Asa says if that doesn’t sound good, they have no date. So, Denji agrees unwillingly but tells Asa she has to follow the house rules which she can cannot break no matter what! Asa asks what happens if you break them to which Denji replies that in worst case scenario it means death. Haruka overhears their conversation and is shocked to hear Denji say it. This is where the chapter ends and hopefully there will not be a break next week.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 116 is scheduled to launch on Wednesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00 AM JST. Fans can read the issue on either Shueisha’s MANGAPlus service, or Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app. Obviously, this CSM issue will release on different days at different times according to various time zones. The issue is set to be released at the following times in these major zones:
- Pacific Time: 8 AM PST
- Eastern Time: 11 AM EST
- British Time: 4 PM BST
- European Time: 5 PM CEST
- Indian time: 8:30 PM IST
