Aquaman 2

With all the changes that the DCU fanbase has endured in the past year or so, they shouldn’t be surprised that the Aquaman sequel doesn’t have good test screening reviews. The film has been receiving consistently bad reviews from test screening audiences and one report even stated that some of the audience members walked out of the movie and called it one of the worst DCEU films ever. The first Aquaman on the other hand might not have performed well critically but it did make a billion dollars at the box office. If there is anything DC knows well is how to change a movie after the test screenings don’t do well. Remember Black Adam? Anyways, today we have news that the studio is making significant to Aquaman 2’s storyline to solve problems that surfaced during the test screenings.

DC Making Huge Changes In Aquaman 2!

Aquaman 2 Test Screenings Reviews Are Bad

According to KC Walsh who is reputed Industry Insider, after the terrible reviews at test screenings Aquaman 2 is going through sweeping changes in post production. In a series of tweets, Walsh revealed the terrible process that is going on as the studio is trying to fix all the issues with the film, “Every test screening has had mostly unfinished VFX, and no one walked out, the main issue was they completely changed the plot and villains of the film, it’s not even the same movie that tested 4 times prior.”

He further lamented about, “Manta was possessed by an old king via a trident, and they needed royal blood to resurrect his old kingdom.”

Another insider Robert Meyer Burnett spoke on The John Campea Show corroborated Walsh’s comments about the film and revealed that DC is trying to change a significant plot point, “I have heard that they’re doing reshoots. They’re changing a significant plot point… Look, this movie, just like the first one, I’m sure, the potential for goofiness is there… A lot of people don’t dig that… There’s a lot of people where that’s not their thing. So, it might be a tonal issue. It might be something that it’s too fantasy for them. I just don’t buy it until we see the whole film. The problem is, people would rather report on something being bad than good.”
