knock at the cabin

After the year started on an amazing note for the horror genre with M3GAN, there was another major horror movie following M3GAN’s superb reception – Knock at the Cabin. I think it is fair to say that Mr. M. Night Shyamalan didn’t deliver with his ambitious venture Old, despite having such a brilliant concept. You cannot predict whether the new Shyamalan film will be enjoyable or a train wreck. Unfortunately for us, his recent project was a horrendous mess. Once again, the film packed some great performances and had a good concept but the film failed to deliver on the thrills. I would say that the film did considerably well on the box office as it earned $54 million on a budget of $20 million. After doing good business in theatres, the film is finally releasing digitally and on Blu-ray.

Knock at the Cabin’s Digital Release Date Might Be Sooner Than You Think!

Knock at the Cabin Review - Has Shyamalan Lost His Touch

Knock at the Cabin has officially earned a release date for online streaming on Peacock. The film will exclusively run on the platform. The film has had various home video releases but Knock at the Cabin being released on a subscription platform will surely renew interest in the project. Knock at the Cabin is currently available to rent or purchase on Digital HD, while it will premiere on Peacock on March 24th before arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 9th.

Peacock also happens to be the platform that has many Shyamalan’s previous works like The Happening, Sixth Sense and The Village. The film’s premise describes itself as, “While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.”

Knock at the Cabin arrives on Peacock on March 24th and hits 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 9th.
