Christopher Nolan’s next film Oppenheimer is all set to release on 21st July, 2023 and the production is now underway. The film is based on the American theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who is called the father of atomic bomb. He is also called the destroyer of worlds because his creation gave humans the power to level entire cities. Some sections of Nolan’s Oppenheimer will be shot in IMAX black & white analogue photography for the first time ever. The first trailer for the film released back in December and since then fans have been waiting for more sneak peeks and information about the film. Well, for them, we have an exciting new update!
Oppenheimer Movie Trailer Leaked Description
As you may know, CinemaCon 2023 has officially begun and Universal panel took the main stage on Wednesday. The attendees were showered with load of updates about upcoming Universal projects like Fast X footage, The Exorcist: Believer trailer, Kung Fu Panda 4 info, The Fall Guy footage, and much more. Among all this, fans were also given a new trailer for Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy, as Christopher Nolan himself took the stage.
The footage was basically a sizzle reel that showcased the sights and sounds of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. It included Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew Modine, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Josh Peck, and more of the film’s jam-packed cast ensemble as they go back and forth debating and arguing over the ethics of creating the world’s first atomic bomb. The footage switches between black-and-white and color, with the testing and creation of the bomb being in color and political table meetings being colorless.
Oppenheimer’s main motivation is to beat the Nazis in creating the ultimate weapon, but at what cost? The IMAX aspect ratio makes a clear difference in telling this story, with even the most intimate conversations being felt in their intensity. The sound design was also immense and felt throughout, solidifying Oppenheimer as a big-screen experience. So, be sure to watch it on the biggest screen and the best sound system possible!
Moving on, Christopher Nolan had a lot to say about the film as well as Robert J Oppenheimer himself. He said, “like it or not, J. Robert Oppenheimer is the most important person who ever lived. He made the world we live in, for better or for worse. His story has to be seen to be believed.” He went on to say that, “I know of no more dramatic tale with higher stakes and extraordinary twists and turns. ” than the story of Oppenheimer. “In learning about that story, I wanted to be in that room and see what that must have been like.”, he added.
