I think this is the thousandth time I’m writing an article on Fantastic Four ‘s casting. This is even more than the times I wrote about Avatar: The Way of Water’s box office records spree. Generally, I won’t mind writing articles on similar subjects. However, every time I write something about Fantastic Four’s casting, my next article brutally contradicts it. After spinning around various big names in Hollywood the casting of Reed Richards finally seem to come to rest around Adam Driver. As for the other characters, nothing is certain. The latest we’ve heard is that Marvel might gender swap the Thing and Normal People, Aftersun and Gladiator 2’s star Paul Mescal has been offered the part of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch. However, today comes the big news as a new report reveals that Hollywood icon Margot Robbie has been offered the part of Sue Storm.
Fantastic Four: Margot Robbie Is Marvel’s Sue Storm?
According to reputed industry insider, Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios have offered the role of Invisible Woman aka Sue Storm to Barbie movie’s star Margot Robbie for the 2025 reboot of Fantastic Four. There has been no mention whether the Academy Award nominated actress has accepted or rejected the studio’s offer. We have to wait for an official update on this matter. If Margot Robbie agrees to play the part, this will be a huge addition to star power for Marvel. Margot Robbie is arguably the most famous actress currently working in Hollywood.
Her addition to the rumored, talented cast including Adam Driver and Paul Mescal suggests a solid bunch of actors perfect for the roles of the Fantastic Four family. This is more than amazing news as Margot Robbie’s talent and star presence is undeniable. If Marvel is able to pull this off then the hype for the Fantastic Four reboot will go off the charts. Other actresses in consideration for Sue Storm’s role are Mila Kunis, Jodie Comer, and Allison Williams.
The Fantastic Four reboot is slated to release in theatres on 14th February 2025.
