Hidden Strike is an upcoming action comedy film starring John Cena and Jackie Chan. The plot of the film revolves around, “Two ex-special forces soldiers must escort a group of civilians along Baghdad’s ‘Highway of Death’ to the safety of the Green Zone,” Along with John Cena and Jackie Chan in the cast is Game of Thrones’ Euron Greyjoy actor Pilou Asbæk, Minghao Hou, Amadeus Serafini, Li Ma and Rachael Holoway. The director of the film Scott Waugh has previously helmed ventures like 2014’s Need for Speed and 2017’s 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain, and also has The Expendables 4 coming up in 2023. The Hidden Strike script comes from Arash Amel, whose credits include A Private War, Rise and the upcoming Guy Ritchie movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. While Cena’s latest starrer is playing in theatres, his upcoming film has gotten a trailer.
Hidden Strike’s Trailer is Full Of Action!
While fans are waiting for Rush Hour 4, Jackie Chan has starred in another action comedy alongside none other than John Cena. The trailer for the film was released yesterday and the action sequences showcased in it are CRAZY! Which is something you can except with a duo like Cena and Chan. The comedic chemistry between the two action stars is amazing. There are some totally Mad Max style chase sequences that look promising. However, just a piece of trivia, Chan was originally going to star alongside Sylvester Stallone until Creed 2 commitments called him away.
Pilou Asbæk looks to be playing the film’s main bad guy and just like his GOT role, he is as menacing and disgusting as ever. The film has an impressive in front of and behind the camera talent that specializes in the action genre. Jackie Chan’s inclusion in the film has to be the highlight as the actor is loved throughout the world as he is an all out entertainer. Pairing him with Cena could be a fantastic choice as he is someone who can more than hold his own when it comes to action, and isn’t bad at comedy either
