House of the Dragon is the story of the war that decimated millions of people and made dragons extinct. A war for the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. A war between step siblings, one of Valyrian descent and the other of Hightower Supremacy. It is the story of the war that was named as The Dance of the Dragons. Season 1 of the show was an overwhelming success for HBO as the series had gathered an average audience of 29 Million which was second to only Game of Thrones Season eight which had an average audience of 44-48 Million. Another unbreakable record that the series has is the record breaking pilot which earned the show a renewal for second season- 10 Million viewers. Most recently House of the Dragon won the much deserving Golden Globes Awards for Best Drama Series.
I’m sure in this year’s Emmys the show would be nominated in multiple categories and would emerge victorious as well. That being said, HBO is also looking to repeat and exceed the success of season one. For that the second season mustn’t take too long release. We’d already gotten the confirmation that the show won’t return this year. We would only be seeing the second season in 2024, if there are no delays. As the production of the season has been going on a for a while, we’ve gotten some set photos but today’s leak is the biggest we’ve gotten so far.
House of the Dragon Season 2 – Laenor Velaryon Makes A Surprising Return!
The Daily Post has reported that House of the Dragon Season 2’s filming has now landed in Penmon, North Wales.
