It seems like the Michael Bay Transformers era has ended, for good. The Transformers franchise has had yet another reboot but this time I think the studio has fixed the long lasting problems with the Transformers films- the director. As Paramount has replaced Bay as the director this reboot actually makes sense as we got to finally see a Transformers film that is different and unique. Paramount also took the correct decision of passing the baton to Steven Caple Jr. who directed Creed II and directed it very well. I didn’t find Transformers to be wildly amazing but good enough to spend 2 hours in theatres. If you happened to miss the film in theatres and its box office figures will suggest you did, then you can watch the film at your home now.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Will Start Streaming Very Soon!
Through the Showtime newsletter, Paramount Pictures confirmed that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be available for streaming on Paramount Plus, Paramount Pictures’ streaming platform, from 25th July 2023 which is just one day away from today. This marks a 46-day gap in releases following Transformers 7’s theatrical debut date on June 9. Currently, the only other Transformers movie available to stream for free is 2014’s Age of Extinction, which can be found on Prime Video.
The five other films from the franchise are only viewable via renting, buying, or VOD. Rise of the Beasts had a massive budget of $200 million (marketing costs not included) and earned $427.1 million worldwide, $155.6 million coming from the domestic market. Rise of the Beasts will start streaming on Paramount+ from July 25th 2023.
