Let us not lie and accept the fact that we all grew up with Power Rangers and even today, we have a soft spot for the franchise. These Rangers are one of the biggest pop culture icons in the world and its live-action series as well as comic books are still going on. The first Rangers series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” debuted back in 1993, and the ongoing series is “Power Rangers Dino Fury” which started airing in February 2021. With over 29 seasons, and 900 episodes it is one of the longest running series of all time. As for comics, Power Rangers’ comic books were first published in 1994 by Hamilton Comics and as of present, they are being published by Boom! Studios since 2016. Now Boom! has introduced a new ranger by the name of The Death Ranger.
Power Rangers – Behold The Death Ranger!
Death Ranger is the new non-binary Ranger, who will debut in a new one-shot which will further expand on the history of the Omega Rangers. Boom! revealed the new comic titled Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Ranger #1 which will introduce this new character. It will also showcase the origin of how the Omega Ranger became corrupted. Omega Rangers, as you may know, are a team of thousands-year-old Rangers who protected the Earth back in their time. Check out the following tweet for more promo art.

The comic book writer Paul Allor confirmed that the Death Ranger is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. In fact, the entire alien race the unnamed Ranger comes from uses these pronouns. Following is the synopsis of the upcoming one-shot comic:
THE LEGENDARY OMEGA RANGERS defended the universe from evil thousands of years ago, the six of them using their elemental powers to protect others from sinister forces. But that all changed when one key member turned on the others, seduced by the death-defying powers of the Rangers’ greatest foe.
This Ranger’s story might be a little dark but you can analyze that yourself when Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Rangers #1 from BOOM! Studios arrives at comic book stores and online retailers on August 31st.
