Oppenheimer is gaining well-deserved hype at the box office with each passing day. Amidst the growing recognition of the epic biographical film, producer Charles Roven is keen to do another Uncharted movie. Despite the disinclination of some people, the film was a huge success. Uncharted’s worldwide box-office collection was $401 million. The commercial success is ample reason to want to create a sequel, continuing the story of Nathan and his company.

Possibility of Uncharted 2 on the Big Screen

In 2022, Uncharted, starring Tom Holland, was adapted from a video game. The story revolves around street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his journey to find a long-lost treasure. The Uncharted franchise offers a broader view of Nathan’s story through its wide collection of games. Hence, it would not seem strange to have an Uncharted 2. The creators have an abundance of inspiration and materials to bring a follow-up.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, producer Charles Roven said, “Yeah! We had a great time with that movie. The fans really enjoyed it, and people who didn’t know anything about the game also really liked the movie. So yeah, we’re definitely looking at making another one of these.”

Roven produced some of the most renowned films in Hollywood, including The Dark Knight, The Suicide Squad, and more. He is clear about his intention of offering a sequel to Uncharted. However, it is reluctant to be on the big screen anytime soon. Tom Holland is taking a year off from acting. Due to the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland is expected to return to his role as Spider-Man.

The continuation may focus on an older Nathan Drake, so the stunts and adventures might be different than expected. For now, the cast and crew have not disclosed any hints regarding the sequel.
