The Call of Duty is one of the biggest franchises in history. It has fans from distinct eras. It has existed for 20 years now, meaning there are COD of different generations. The original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is regarded as the golden age of the franchise. Now we’ve come so far that we are getting the third sequel of the remake franchise called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. For the fans waiting impatiently for the game, we have some interesting news as apparently, Modern Warfare 3 will feature remastered maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009).
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Feature MW 2 Maps
Fans are playing COD: Modern Warfare 2 even after all these years and hope for a remaster. Sledgehammer Games may have found a way to achieve the best alternative and remaster Call of Duty without fear of splitting the player base from newer COD games.
According to a reliable Call of Duty leaker, Twitter user el_bobberto, Call of Duty will feature the remastered versions from classic Modern Warfare 2. As of right now, we don’t know if all the maps if from the old game or if it is just some of them. Hopefully, the fans will get some more information about Modern Warfare 3 sometime later this week. However, Sledgehammer Games might hold on to that detail.
In recent years, COD has gotten creative when it comes to bringing back maps. Some seem to utilize an existing map as a base and build something new on top of it. In Modern Warfare 2 (2022) estate was the inspiration for the lighthouse map. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will release on November 10.
