2. The Apothecary Diaries

Set in China, The Apothecary Diaries follows 17-year-old Maomao who is abducted and compelled to work as a servant in the Imperial Palace. However, instead of leaving everything to her fate, she secretly begins to work as a pharmacist and catches the eye of an influential eunuch, Jinshi. Maomao finds herself in the emperor’s inner court and solves several medical mysteries. The Apothecary Diaries is set to release on October 22, 2023.

3. Dr. Stone: New World 2

In this season of Dr. Stone fans will see how The Kingdom of Science and Senkuu are close to finding out the truth behind the petrification. However, they come face to face with several dangers keeping them from discovering the technology that ruined present-day civilization about 3000 years ago. Dr Stone: New World 2 will premiere on October 12, 2023.

4. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Based on a popular manga by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (illustration), Frieren follows the titular character. After the defeat of the demon’s king, the four heroes walk their separate ways. Frieren is one of them, an elf with a much greater lifespan than human beings, so she watches her comrades pass away. Now with another companion by her side, Frieren is on her journey to confront her past regrets. The series is scheduled to release on September 29, 2023.

5. The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent Season 2

The series follows Sei Takanashi who finds herself in an odd world that desperately requires a living Saint. Sei is unaware of her powers and tries to find a purpose in this world. She gradually starts to awaken her magical powers as she helps the people who soon begin to address her as a hero. The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent Season 2 will come out this fall.

6. A Girl & Her Guard Dog

Shojo anime A Girl & Her Guard Dog is based on the manga by Hatsuharu. The story follows the daughter of a yakuza boss, Isaku. After the demise of her parents in a car accident, 5-year-old Isaku was taken in by her yakuza grandparents. She suffered ostracization in school due to her background. As she is about to live a normal high school life by concealing her identity, her loyal family servant and dedicated guardian, Keiya, vows to protect her. A Girl & Her Guard Dog will premiere on September 28, 2023.

7. Pluto

Netflix’s original series Pluto is based on the spin-off of Osamu Tezuka’s popular series Astro Boy. The story follows robotic Europol detective Gesicht. Inspector Gesicht is employed to investigate the tragic demise of the legendary Swiss robot Montblanc. The show is coming to Netflix on October 26, 2023.

8. Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective

Based on a Shonen manga by Akira Amano, Ron Kamonohashi focuses on two detectives, Totomaru Isshiki and Ron Kamonohashi. Though Totomaru lacks the skill, that doesn’t restrain him from trying to help people. On the contrary, Ron was the most promising investigator five years ago, now he leads a life of solitude. Ron lacks the motivation to work and Totomaru might be the key to Ron’s return.

9. Undead Unluck

The Shonen anime series Undead Unluck will premiere on October 7, 2023. Based on the manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka, the story follows Fuuko Izumo. She is suffering from a ‘condition’ that brings bad luck to anyone who touches her, including her parents. By chance, she meets an immortal, Andy, who comes back to life despite suffering injuries as he meets Fuuko. They team up but an enigmatic organization targets their abilities.

10. The Kingdoms of Ruin

The Kingdoms of Ruin is based on a manga by Yoruhashi. It is set in a world where humanity has thrived for ages credit goes to the power of magic granted by the witches. However, magic has no position in this present world as technology overpowers the witches. The Redia Empire begins to fetch the witches to remove magic entirely from the world. Adonis, an apprentice of the witch, watches her demise at a young age and vows to get revenge. Premiering on October 7, 2023, the show will premiere on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS.
