Invincible is returning to Amazon Prime Video with Season 2, later this fall. The creator of the show is teasing a surprise return of Omni-Man in the upcoming episodes. Right from the series premiere, this show made a major impact among fans and the credit goes to Omni-Man and Robert Kirkman (series creator and executive producer). Invincible comic fans are aware that following Omni-Man wrecking son Mark as seen at the end of Season 1, it’s a long time before Omni-Man makes a re-appearance in the original series. However, Kirkman teases that Omni-Man would be surprisingly dropping in earlier than expected.
How Omni-Man Will Return in Invincible Season 2
IGN spoke to Robert Kirkman ahead of the new episodes to find out more about the show. When asked about Omni-Man’s return, Kirkman teased saying, “The less said about Nolan, I think the better at this point…I’ll just say that I wouldn’t wager that we’ll go the entire season without seeing him. He’ll probably crop up when you least expect it, and he may be popping up in ways that you wouldn’t necessarily expect. So, I think I’ve said as much as I can say.” Omni-Man was last seen fleeing from Earth to avoid killing his son completely. However, the events of the comics keep Omni-Man away for a long time.
The father and son dynamic is more of a saga that expands throughout the series. However, if the Invincible creator Robert Kirkman continues to shuffle the events, then fans might get to witness characters who weren’t supposed to enter the story yet.
Invincible Season 2 premieres on November 3rd on Amazon Prime Video.
