New York Comic Con 2023 has finally arrived and we have gathered all the biggest announcements from the show. NYCC revealed two major things from The Walking Dead, a brand new Dragon Ball series in Dragon Ball: Daima, and much more.

At NYCC, a brand-new Dragon Ball series called Dragon Ball: Daima was announced with a fall 2024 release window. A short teaser was shown and it included de-aged Goku, Bulma, Vegeta, and many more. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will be drawing the series. It will feature an original story “never told in Dragon Ball.” The creator was also confirmed to be involved in Daima “beyond his usual capacity.”

The upcoming spin-off The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Lives starring Andrew Lincoln’s Rick and Danai Gurira’s Michonne received a premiere month, a teaser trailer, and cast announcements. The new cast members include Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis, Lost’s Terry O’Quinn as Beale, and Matt Jeffries’ Nat.
Carol Will Return in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2
Melissa McBride’s character Carol is officially returning to The Walking Dead. In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Carol will be joining Norman Reedus’ character Daryl Dixon. The original plan of the series was to star both McBride and Reedus. However, McBride couldn’t relocate to Europe for filming and the concentration of the show shifted to Reedus.
Earth Defense Force 6 Official Release Window Trailer
Earth Defense Force 6 will be released in spring 2024 for PS5 and PC. A new trailer offers fans a hint at what to expect from this game that sees the EDF once again protecting the Earth from aliens.
The Strangers Trilogy Director and Producer Reveal Ambitious Plans
Producer Courtney Solomon and director Renny Harlin stopped by NYCC to share their potential plans for The Strangers trilogy. The trilogy, The Strangers: Chapter 1 will be the first film, but all three films have already been filmed. And, if everything goes according to plan, it will be released in 2024. Details on the second and third films were scarce, however, it was confirmed that the three films will take place over just a few days. The third film will reveal the origin of the Strangers from the 2008 original. These films will be an extension of the franchise that began in 2008 with Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman as the stars. And, Chapter 1 will star Froy Gutierrez and Madelaine Petsch. They embark on a cross-country journey to begin a new life in the Pacific Northwest, but, it gets interrupted by criminals.
For All Mankind: Season 4 Official Trailer Revealed
Apple TV+’s For All Mankind is returning for Season 4 on November 10, 2023. NYCC shared a brand-new trailer of the most-anticipated episodes that are set eight years after the third season.
Oni Press Teases Jam-Packed ‘Oni 2024’ Comic Book Lineup
IGN exclusively revealed all five books in Oni Press’ 2023 lineup. They include Cullen Bunn & Jesus Hervas’ Invasive, Zac Thompson & Daniel Irizarri’s Cemetary Kids Don’t Die, Olivia Cuartero-Briggs & Roberta Ingranata’s Jill and the Killers, Chris Condon & Various Artists’ Night People, Barry Gifford, and Murewa Ayodele & Dotun Akande’s Akogan: Brutalizer of Gods.
DC Reviews the Elseworlds Imprint With 6 New Series
DC Comics is officially bringing back the Elseworlds imprint that will take fans back into the alternate versions of the DCU. This new line will feature six new titles, and it will include classic Elseworlds stories like Batman: Gotham by Gaslight alongside new stories. The lineup includes Andy Diggle & Leandro Fernandez’s Gotham by Gaslight: The Kryptonian Age, Tate Brombal & Werther Dell’Edera’s Green Lantern: Dark, Greg Smallwood’s Batman the Barbarian, Jay Kristoff & Tirso Cons’ Dark Knights of Steel: All Winter, Clay Mann & Seth Mann’s Batman: Nightfire, and Matthew Rosenberg & Otto Schmidt’s DC vs. Vampires: World War V.
