Doctor Who will celebrate its 60th anniversary with three specials featuring David Tennant as the titular Time Lord. In May 2022, Ncuti Gatwa was officially cast as the 14th Doctor. So, when Jodie Whittaker’s latest incarnation of the character regenerated into David Tennant, the fandom went into shock. Later, we got to know that Tennant will reprise his role for three episodes, with Gatwa set to officially take over the entire first season afterward. The show will celebrate its anniversary this November and the fandom is curious about the upcoming Season 14. Here’s everything we know about Doctor Who Season 14.

Cast of Doctor Who Season 14

When it comes to the cast, Ncuti Gatwa’s entry in the show has been quite a news. Gatwa’s role as Eric in Netflix’s Sex Education and as one of the Kens in the Barbie movie brought the actor to viewers’ attention. Fans can expect to see Gatwa in more than one season of Doctor Who. Besides him in the TARDIS, all the good Doctor needs is a new partner Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Alongside the main pair, we will see:

  • Lenny Rush (Morris)
  • Ruth Madeley (Shirley Anne Bingham)
  • Yasmin Finney (Rose)
  • Anita Dobson (Mrs. Flood)
  • Jinx Monsoon (unnamed)
  • Jonathan Groff (unnamed)

Recently Yasmin Finney confirmed that her character in the show will be trans. Beyond the lineup of these new characters, the returning faces to the show are Bonnie Langford as Mel and Jemma Redgrave as UNIT leader Kate Lethbridge Stewart.
