It has been over 9 years since the last Grand Theft Auto video game came out and fans have rightly run out of patience in the past few years. Ever since GTA Vice City launched in 2002, the GTA series has been a sensation. Additionally, GTA V went on to become one of the greatest games of our time. Therefore, GTA VI or GTA 6 is highly anticipated, and owing to that in February 2022, Rockstar confirmed they’re developing GTA 6. Since then there have been a ton of leaks and the internet blew back in September as there were some massive leaks, which you can check out here. Today, we have some important information for you guys which set the internet on fire a few hours ago!
GTA 6 Trailer Leaks Online, Gets Debunked
First of all, it was leaked that the official trailer for GTA 6 will come out on 26th October, 2023, however, that too is a part of this leak. Then the 4chan leaker went on to describe the trailer, “It’s about a minute and a half, I watched it twice, didn’t get to sit and analyse it.” The song playing in the trailer was described as being Latin funk using fast paced synth with bongos and bass.
Lucia has a voice over in the trailer which says, “this city has a way of reaching into your guts and stealing your soul the hard way, ya know?” To this a man, who sounds like Jason, responds a bit later “yeah but who needs one of those anyway?”. Aside from that, we see two cars drag racing, Jason driving boat, and a gator surfacing water. We also see Iguanas Rio carnival girls dancing on stage, a person falling off a lighthouse, horse racing with crowd cheering.
The leaker also said there were shots of a night club scene with people dancing, and an guy in underwear running down street. He also randomly mentioned snake people fishing on sail boats, beach party buff lifeguard jogging, ferris wheel guy with head in gators’ mouth, a performance, and a sky diver jumping out of plane. Apparently, there’s also a shot of Lucia holding a guy up and patting him down.
Then we see a long haired guy sliding across a car hood with a sport bag as two cops eating donuts on hood give him a chase. We see police pit a manoeuvre and the trailer ends with Lucia hitting someone with bat and fireworks in night sky. This is where the GTA 6 logo pops up and looks purple and pink gradient like one of the earlier logo leaks. No release date is mentioned in the trailer.
As for the believability of this trailer leak, it sparked a debate among fans but most of them ended up agreeing it was fake. Later, a post circulated on Reddit, where someone claimed they were the ones who posted the leaks on 4Chan for giggles and fun. While most would now consider this leak debunked, some still believe it to be true. Well the final choice to believe it or not rests with you guys!
