Invincible Season 2 Plot Spoilers and Story Arcs, As Per Comics

Invincible Season 2 has debuted with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics overall consensus reads, “the second season dives deeper into its characters and delivers one of the best comic book adaptations yet. It’s just too bad we have to wait until 2024 for part 2.” This is absolutely nothing we didn’t expect given the quality of Season 1 and the quality of content backing the future seasons. So here’s a compilation of various critical reviews for season 2 so far.

Screen Rant (Cooper Hood) – “It was worth the wait… Invincible season 2 re-establishes itself as the best superhero show in recent memory.”

ComicBook.com (Logan Moore) – “The wait has been well worth it… Almost certainly won’t disappoint those who have been counting down the days until its return.” Rating – 4.5/5

IGN (Siddhant Adlakha) – “The first half of Invincible Season 2 features strong emotional high points and an expanded scope, but a scattered structure that fails to weave it all together.” Rating – 7/10

Collider (Chase Hutchinson) – “Though the superhero of its title might not be truly as invulnerable as his name would lead you to believe, the series itself feels just about as close to that as one could hope. No matter how many times Mark gets beaten down, Invincible always finds new ways to get back up again.” Rating – B+

Inverse (Eric Francisco) – “As superhero fatigue becomes more pervasive, Invincible returns, and it’s as thoughtful, gory, and hilarious as ever.”

We Got This Covered (Scott Campbell) – “After a long wait, ‘Invincible’ season 2 reports for duty by raising the stakes in terms of scope, scale, spectacle and storytelling, without sacrificing its focus on heart and humor.” Rating – 3.5/5

Looper (Akos Peterbencze) – “Season 2 continues the story of Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) with the uncompromising boldness it started with and takes the series to new heights, expanding its universe without dropping the focus on the razor-sharp character drama.”

Invincible Season 2 Part 1 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 3rd 2023 and will consist of 4 episodes. Part 2 will be released in early 2024.
