First of all, it needs to be clarified that this article is about Disney upcoming live-action Pinocchio film and not Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (2022), which is an upcoming animated film. It can become a bit confusing as both these films are coming out this year and both are based on the 1883 Italian book The Adventures of Pinocchio, by Carlo Collodi. So, do not get confused. Disney’s live-action version is a remake of Disney’s own animated film Pinocchio which was released in 1940. Whereas Del Toro’s Pinocchio is a new animated film which will come out this year on Netflix.
