Ever since GTA Vice City launched in 2002, the GTA series has been a sensation and GTA V is possibly the greatest games of our time. Therefore, GTA VI or GTA 6 is highly anticipated, and owing to that finally a few hours ago, Rockstar has finally revealed the first trailer for GTA 6. The trailer introduces us to two protagonists (Lucia, the female protagonist and an unnamed male protagonist) and takes us back to the Vice City we all loved so much back in 2002. So, while this would be a new adventure, question needs to be asked – will we encounter some of our previously beloved characters on the way? Well, considering how the game takes place in Vice City and is a a sequel to GTA 5, certain characters from these two games might make a cameo. Here’s a list of characters who we think might make a cameo.
Ken Rosenberg
Ken Rosenberg is a fan favourite character in the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) video game series. Introduced in GTA: Vice City, he is a neurotic and troubled lawyer with ties to criminal organizations. Voiced by William Fichtner, Rosenberg’s character provides comedic relief and plays a key role in the game’s narrative, often finding himself in precarious situations. The character has already made a reappearance in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and fans expect him to return to GTA 6.
Phil Cassidy
Phil Cassidy is a known for his appearances in multiple games, including GTA III, Vice City, and Liberty City Stories. A war veteran and arms dealer, Cassidy is associated with the criminal underworld, providing firepower and missions to the protagonists in various storylines. Phil’s character could be used to provide players with rare weapons in GTA 6 and would be an ideal replacement for the Gun Van seller in GTA Online.
Kent Paul
Featured in games like GTA: Vice City, he is a British music promoter with a penchant for trouble. Voiced by Danny Dyer, Paul is often involved in criminal activities and serves as an ally to the game’s protagonists. He was also featured in San Andreas and has a large network of contacts. So who’s to say he doesn’t know Lucia and Jason in GTA 6?
Umberto Robina
Prominently featured in GTA: Vice City and GTA: Vice City Stories, Robina is a passionate Cuban revolutionary, Voiced by Danny Trejo, he leads the Cubans gang, fervently opposing the Haitian gang and is charismatic and fiercely patriotic. In Vice City Stories, he allies with the protagonist, Victor Vance, against common enemies. So being a prominent figure in the Vice City he is expected to make a cameo or at least be mentioned in GTA 6.
Tommy Vercetti
Tommy Vercetti is not just the main protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but is also one of the most popular GTA characters overall. Voiced by Ray Liotta, he’s a former mobster released from prison who rises through the criminal ranks in Vice City. Considering fans tremendous heartbreak after Ray Liotta’s death, it provides Rockstar a huge opportunity to honor Liotta and Tommy in some way in GTA 6. One thing is pretty clear though, even if the cameo happens, it won’t be a voiced one.
Dave Norton
Voiced by Julian Gamble, Dave is an FIB agent with a complex relationship with protagonist Michael De Santa. Norton plays a key role in the game’s plot, balancing between law enforcement duties and personal connections in the criminal underworld. Being a corrupt FIB agent his chances of making a cameo in GTA 6 are highest among all GTA 5 characters. Even though, GTA 5 is based in Los Santos and GTA 6 is based in Vice City, that won’t be a problem for an FIB Agent.
Michael, Trevor, or Franklin
The three leads of GTA 5 have a separate fan base each but only one of them might make a cameo in GTA 6. While Michael’s voice actor himself hinted to a return a few weeks back, it is worth noting how Michael was a killable character and the ending of GTA 5 depended on the choice players made. The same applies for Trevor as well. So, considering how Rockstar may not want to spoil player’s experience, chances for a Franklin cameo are the highest. The reason is simple. If they go with Michael or Trevor, that would mean that Rockstar is stating there’s a definitive ending for GTA 5, which may not bode well for the fans who like another ending.
Aside from these characters, Chop, Lester, Lamar Davis, Martin Madrazo, Patricia Madrazo, Solomon Richards, Ron Jakowski, Wade Hebert, Simeon Yetarian, Tanisha Jackson, Tao Cheng, and Dr. Isiah Friedlander, all have chances to make an appearance in GTA 6. So technically the cameo potential is nearly unlimited as any of the surviving characters from any of the GTA games could pop up. However, it’s not like GTA 6 is going to be the last GTA game, so there’s no reason there would be too many cameos in the game. That’s it from our side, leave your thoughts and predictions below!
