X-Men ’97 is a new Marvel series which serves as a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–97). The plot of the series has continued where the original series had left off. In the recent past, Marvel has heavily invested in animated TV shows like What If…? Season 1 & 2. The studio is also making Spider-Man: Freshman Year that will be a Spider-Man x Daredevil crossover. X-Men ’97 has been a serious victim of Marvel’s production delays but now that is it here people have unanimously praised the show. However, it wasn’t until now that X-Men ’97 really made the internet talk about it. And it all happened because of a Spider-Man cameo.
X-Men ’97 Just Introduced Spider-Man!
A new episode of X-Men ’97 aired today on Disney+ and in the final minutes of the runtime gave the fans one of the best moments of the show so far. Peter Parker aka Spider-Man appeared in it which reminded fans about 90s Spider-Man show. The design of the character also seems to be inspired from it. This cameo has led to fans speculating whether Marvel is planning the revival of another old animated series in the form of Spider-Man ’98. Given the fan following the show has, it will be an instant success amongst Marvel fans.
What are you thoughts on this? I think an animated Spider-Man series would be an amazing option for Marvel at this moment but that will happen when it happens. For now, watch the leaked Spider-Man cameo below:
