Valheim is getting better and better with every update, is already one of the best survival games in the world. In its commitment to making the game more amazing, Iron Gate is about to release a major update which is currently under development and will be released as soon as all the bugs are fixed. As you may know this new update adds the Mistland region to your ever expanding world. So, with that, come new enemies, new materials, new mini-bosses, and new armor. Here’s all that has been revealed by this new announcement.
Valheim Mistlands Update Is Almost Here
Its last major update was the Frost Caves update in the mountain region which brought along a new Fenris Armor Set, Flesh Ripper weapon, and Jute decoration material. But now it is finally time for the update we all have been waiting for and Valheim has announced some new upcoming content via Twitter.

Valheim Fishing Update
As of now, there are 3 kinds of fishes available in Valheim which provide you 1x Raw Fish (Perch), 2x Raw Fish (Pike), and 3x Raw Fish (Tuna). But now the fishing mechanism will undergo some changes that include:
- New types of Fishes
- New Sizes of Fishes which grant you more Raw Fish
- You’ll also be able to mount your most impressive catches on item stands
- Also, while swimming the fish will also jump above the surface to add to the ambience
Mistlands New Enemy – Tick
What is Valheim without its terrifying enemies? This new enemy apparently is a Tick which will spawn in the Mistlands area. “Ticks are quite a common summer occurrence in Sweden, after all, though thankfully they don’t quite reach this size”, reads the official description. From the looks of it:
- Ticks look just like ticks but a whole lot bigger
- They might be to Mistlands, what Deathsquito it to the Plains
- If they are anything like Deathsquitos, it means bad news for us! I am sure just like me, everyone hated them in Plains
- We can expect them to cause high amounts of damage, so tread carefully in this new area
Mistland Update New Forge
A new kind of crafting table will also arrive in this update and will join Workbench, Forge, and Artisan Table. This also means that new crafting materials, weapons, and armor might be made with the help of this table. They revealed absolutely nothing about the new crafting table but at the same time they dropped the complete look of the table, which you can see above. “Just to get you to speculate a bit further, we thought we’d share a screenshot of how the model looks now that it’s implemented into the game,” they wrote. It seems very hard to actually make out what it might be about. To me it looks like it will craft some God-like weapons made of enchanted metal like Uru in Norse Mythology. What do you think?
All this new content will arrive in the Midsummer Update for Valheim. As for the Mistlands’ complete update, it will surely arrive in the next few months.
