Ms. Marvel premiered its fourth episode few hours back on the streaming service Disney Plus, and the latest Marvel phase 4 superhero show is another nugget in the crown jewel of MCU. The show created by Bisha K. Ali, stars Iman Vellani in her debut role as lead portraying Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The stakes of the series were raised to a proficient level in Episode 4 and the story picked up pace. Ms. Marvel Episode 5continues the trend and sets up what’s to come in the last episode aka the finale of the first season. (Review Marathon – Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4)

Bangle’s Origin Revealed – What You Seek Is Seeking You
In the last episode, Kamala was seen climbing on top of one of the last trains to Pakistan during the partition and masses of people were struggling to get on it. This episode could be have been a depressing one if they dwelled too much into the Partition of India but that didn’t happen. Instead of going down a dark path, they told us a very sweet and heartbreaking tale of Aisha and Hasan. Aisha being one of the Clandestines finds solace in the arms of Hasan portrayed by Fawad Kahan, and they have a daughter named Sana (Kamala’s Nani). In her dying moments, she inscribes ” What You Seek Is Seeking You” on the bangle, making clear the origin of the bangle as well as how it reached Kamala.
So, in short Kamala was sent to the past to gain a much deeper understanding of her family history as well as help Sana out in finding her Abbu aka Hasan to get on the train to Pakistan. The episode stuck the emotional chords of the fans especially those of the Indian subcontinent as it dealt with a very delicate matter and succeeded in doing so without being dark or depressing. The episode was quite low on action but was the heart of the series so far. I didn’t particularly enjoy what happened to Najma though, which we’ll talk about in the next section.
Ms. Marvel Episode 5 Ending Explained
So, Najma decided to sacrifice herself in order to close the portal which could have destroyed everything. I don’t particular understand this sudden change of plans and though she was never a compelling antagonist, now the show has none. It is very difficult to understand where it will go from here as it has closed many significant plot lines already. Kamala, her mother, and her Nani have got the closure they deserved and the antagonist is dead. The origin of the bangle has also been revealed and now the only thing that remains is Kamran’s story.
When Najma dies, she transferred her powers to Kamran, so yes Kamran will be getting his Bioluminescence powers from the comics. HE is being tracked down by the Agent Sandie Deever and the department of Damage Control. That aside, he might also be hunted by some of the left over Clandestines. Another thing we expect from the finale is that Kamala must fully learn to control her powers and get the superhero outfit we’ve been waiting for. Apart from that, we also expect a Captain Marvel (Carol Denvers) cameo in the finale but let’s see where it goes!
One thing I really want to say is that kudos to Laura Karpman, Atif Afzal, and rest of the team for providing such excellent score and music composition and song mixing to this series!
Final Verdict – Ms. Marvel’s trip to Karachi was a really successful one, full of action, character development, and a long awaited plus well executed cameos by Fawad Kahan and Mehwish Hayat.
