Better Call Saul Jeff Has Been Recast

Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 Release Date and Time on AMC and Netflix

The character of Jeff, the inquisitive cab driver who recognized Gene in a Season 5 flash-forward has been recast with Pat Healy taking over the role from Don Harvey, which can be seen in the new teaser. The character of Jeff has only been seen in  Better Call Saul‘s “Gene in Omaha” which flash-forwards to Jimmy’s post-Breaking Bad life, first as the driver of Gene’s cab in Season 4 and then in that awkward run-in in Season 5, where Jeff recognizes Gene as the former Saul Goodman. Harvey played the role both times.

Actor Don Harvey has appeared recently in the HBO drama We Own This City, and it clashed with his appearance on Better Call Saul, as Harvey couldn’t reprise Jeff due to contractual obligations on the former show. So the makers have opted out for a recast with Pat Healy  playing Jeff in the final batch of episodes. We have yet to see how fans and viewers are going to receive Jeff’s recast, although the role so far had a very minor screen time, Jeff is the main antagonist to Saul’s Cinnabon manager Gene.

Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 is going to premiere on July 11 on AMC. Read here for detailed time and Netflix release.
