Captain America: Brave New World is set to debut Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America in his first solo outing. However, skepticism looms large, with many fans dismissively labeling Sam as “Not My Captain.” Adding fuel to the fire, Charles Murphy recently confirmed on social media that the alleged plot leak circulating online is legitimate, sparking intense debate among fans. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the leaked plot.
Captain America: Brave New World Plot Summary Leaked
The film opens with Sam Wilson (Captain America) tracking the Serpent Society, who possess a mysterious package containing adamantium. Sidewinder, played by Giancarlo Esposito, is introduced as the ruthless leader, holding nuns hostage while discussing plans to secure the package. Sam engages a super-soldier from the group in combat, defeating him but failing to prevent Sidewinder’s escape.
After the mission, Sam and Joaquin Torres visit Isaiah Bradley for training, leading to a montage that showcases their evolving camaraderie. The trio later visits the White House, where they meet President Ross, who surprisingly offers Sam the leadership of the Avengers. Sam is hesitant, questioning potential disagreements within the team, but Ross assures him they can navigate the challenges together.
Assassination, Hypnosis, and The Leader’s Plan
An assassination attempt on President Ross disrupts events, with Isaiah being manipulated into attacking using hypnotic flashing lights from his phone. Although Isaiah is later exonerated, the incident reveals the involvement of the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson), who appears with a molded brain-shaped cap and greenish skin.
Ross, struggling with his declining health, seeks the Leader’s help but falls victim to his manipulative schemes. Ross now risks “Hulking out” under stress, a condition controlled by his fluctuating blood pressure.
Global Tensions in Captain America: Brave New World
Ruth (Sabra) attempts to take Isaiah into custody after another mind-control incident, but she eventually joins forces with Sam to trace the Leader’s operations. They’re led to Stark Technologies, where they meet Amadeus Cho (Logan Kim). While the focus remains on the Leader’s schemes, there’s a brief nod to Pepper Potts, although she doesn’t make an appearance.
Meanwhile, Ross attempts to negotiate a peace treaty with Japan, which accuses the U.S. of stealing adamantium from Tiamut’s Hand in the Indian Ocean. The rising tension culminates in a confrontation between U.S. and Japanese forces, with Sam stepping in to prevent further escalation.
Captain America: Brave New World Ending and Post Credits Scene
Ross succumbs to the Leader’s manipulation, transforming into Red Hulk during a White House press conference. Sam battles both the Leader and Red Hulk, ultimately forcing Ross to revert to his human form by stabbing him with his vibranium wings. Ross is arrested and taken to the Raft, where he reflects on his actions and reunites with his daughter, Betty. The film concludes with Sam visiting Joaquin in the hospital, teasing potential upgrades to his wings in Wakanda.
