Ever since Charlie Cox’ Matt Murdock aka Daredevil appeared in No Way Home, many new Marvel fans have been watching Marvel Netflix shows. That aside, hardcore a huge bunch of fans can’t stop rewatching the shows and getting hyped for their future in MCU. Well, we have bad news and possibly a good news for all those fans.
Marvel’s Defenders Universe Leaves Netflix
If you guys were in the middle of watching these shows, we’ll recommend you to watch them asap as they are about to leave their birth platform. It is now confirmed that The Defendervse shows will be leaving Netflix on 1st March 2022. That gives fans somewhere around 15 days to enjoy their beloved shows one last time before they disappear. If you are unaware, the shows we are talking about are:
- Marvel’s Daredevil
- Jessica Jones
- Luke Cage
- Iron Fist
- The Defenders
- The Punisher
All these shows suffered a tragic fate as they were ruthlessly cancelled after the formation of Disney Plus and the conflict between Marvel Studios and Marvel TV. Anyways, what’s done is done, but what now? What will happen to these shows? They can’t disappear and will surely return but on which platform? That is yet to be confirmed but here’s what we think.
Daredevil, Punisher and Other Defenders to Arrive on Disney Plus?
Honestly, this would make the most sense. Now that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and D’Onforio’s Kingpin have appeared in MCU and the Defenders show are now MCU cannon, it is only fitting that they come home. So, Disney Plus would be our first and favorite choice for these shows to return as it is shaping up to be the one place for all Marvel stuff. But there is no magic wand in the real world so it would take time. Probably even a year to get the full fledged rights of these series and accommodating them on Disney Plus.
Another fine choice for now would be Hulu as it already has a few dark Marvel TV shows like Marvel’s Runaways, and Cloak and Dagger. Earlier, Ghost Rider was also supposed to get his very own series on Hulu before being cancelled due to the same reason mentioned above. So, Hulu would be a great choice as it is also partially owned by Disney/Marvel. So, introducing these grittier, and gorier Marvel shows to Hulu won’t be such a bad move. Anyways, it is our firm belief that within an year, these shows will arrive on Disney Plus. Rest remains to be seen.
