That is not all as with this trailer Netflix has finally revealed the release date for the series, that is, 20th December this year. Fans of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher Saga books would recognised scenes from the first 2 books – The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny. The first season of series would be majorly based on them rather than the video game. Sorry Wild Hunt fans…
But the fans of Witcher video games would have enjoyed the voice of Henry Cavill which sounds very much like Douge Cockle’s interpretation of Geralt of Rivia as well as the famous bathtub Geralt scene from Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt!

The sheer scale of the series from the trailer looks epic and aims to match that of Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. The costumes, make up, visual effects and cinematography look promising as well. Could Netflix’s The Witcher turn out to be the next pop cultural phenomenon?
