Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 9 Saul Goodman Mentions Walter White

Thanks, for letting us breathe a bit! If you have seen this week’s episode of Better Call Saul, you know what I am talking about. If you haven’t, then I’d like to say two things to you. Firstly, what exactly is stopping you from watching this gem of a show on time? Secondly, the article follows massive spoilers for Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 10, which acts as a breather after the good work of the last three episodes. I mean seriously, BCS has been on a roll and delivered back to back incredible and twisted episodes and we seriously needed this artistic and fun episode. Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 10 – Back to the Future

Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 10 Review - A Black and White Breather or Filler

It seems like Nippy was made for just two main purposes. First, to give audience a break form all the crazy s**t that has been happening and second, to let the audiences know that Gene (aka future Saul) has still got it! I absolutely loved how he enjoyed whatever he did in the episode and even though he didn’t say it out loud, we all know he “was alive”. Since the beginning of Better Call Saul, Gene was either too dull or too scared, but here, he was actually having the time of his life. I understand that due to the casting changes, some of you might be confused about who Jeff the cab driver is, and for that check this article out.

Anyways, the fully black and white episode had absolutely nothing to do with the cartel or the lawyer story of Jimmy McGill. It was all about how Saul’s still got it and his Jugaad not only helped Jeff, but also pulled him out of Jeff’s blackmail. Some of you might have felt that this episode was a filler but I strongly disagree. It was a breather sure, but at the same time it was highly thrilling in its own way. That aside, it had tons of character moments for Saul and they are incredibly important in a show that is all about character motivations and developments.

Saul Mentions Walter White

The episode was filled with tons of symbolism from Saul performing his signature move in front on a mirror, boosting his past deeds, and giving out hints of his narcissistic attitude. While boosting his past to Jeff, he mentioned Walter White, well, not properly but yeah. He talked about a chemistry professor in his 50’s who walked into his office and became a millionaire. We all know who he was talking about, but don’t worry this is not the Walter White cameo we’ve been waiting for XD.

Anyways, another thing I liked about this episode was that it didn’t let us decode Gene (Saul)’s plan until he made Jeff practice in the snow. So, for the majority of the episode I had no clue what the hell he was planning and that added a lot to the excitement factor of the episode. Also, foreshadowing the polished floor and then getting Jeff to slip and faint was just icing on the cake. So, I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely loved this episode and the artistry as well as the symbolisms in it. Can’t wait for next week’s episode where we’ll hopefully return to the Breaking Bad timeline and potentially see a Walter White and Jesse Pinkman cameo.

Final Verdict – Better Call Saul season 6 episode 10 turned a very simple storyline into a nail-biter and even though it was meant to be a breather, it turned out to be a fun and gripping ride
