Invincible season 1 arrived on Prime Video last year and was without any doubt a gamechanger. It opened to widespread critical acclaim as well as a highly positive reviews from the viewers. Owing to all that Amazon Prime announced its plans for at least two more seasons, but we still have no idea when we can expect to see its return. That was until now as we have a major update for you guys.
Invincible Season 2 Returns Soon
In an interview with comicbookmovie.com about The Boys Presents: Diabolical, showrunner Simon Racioppa talked about Invincible. If you are unaware about The Boys Presents: Diabolical, it is an animated spin-off show set in the Amazon Prime’s Boy’s universe. Racioppa worked on as a writer and executive producer on the show and is also the showrunner for Invincible. Here’s what he had to say.
“We’re working hard on it. The one thing I’d tell people is we’ve been working hard on it for a longer period than they think. A lot of people assume we’ve just got started on it, and that’s not true. We’ve been working on it for a while now. But, it’s a big show. To do it properly takes time. We’re still in the pandemic. We’re hopefully coming out of it, but that makes things a little slower too. Everybody is working very hard on it; I think you’re going to be very happy with it. I hope so. We want to make it as badly as everyone wants to see it. We’re deep in. I wish it was already done and I wish it was finished, but it’s just not. We’re deep into it; literally, this afternoon, that’s what I’m doing – more work on that show! Right after these interviews, I’m back on to Invincible.”
Reading this we are pretty sure that Invincible season 2 is indeed pretty close and might come out by the fall of 2022. As of now the show is incomplete, hence counting in production, and post production, as well as marketing activities, its safe to see we won’t see Invincible before the end of 2022. Till then, all eight episodes of the animated anthology arrive on Prime Video this Friday, March 4. Also, The Boys season 3 arrives on 3rs June 2022.
