Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata, and its story follows Asta, a young boy born without any magic power. This is unknown to the world he lives in because seemingly everyone has some sort of magic power and with the help of his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 2015, with its chapters collected in 32 tankōbon volumes as of April 2022. A Black Clover anime television series adaptation produced by Pierrot aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from October 2017 to March 2021. That aside, a Black Clover anime film is set to premiere in 2023. But today we are going to talk about the upcoming Chapter 344 of the Manga, so beware as major spoilers for the same follow below.
BC Chapter 344 Delayed, No Spoilers This Week
Unfortunately, this week there will be no chapter because Black Clover rests for a sudden TWO WEEK break. Spoilers for Black Clover chapter 344 will be released between Wednesday, November 16 (at the earliest) and Friday, November 18 (at the latest). But that doesn’t mean we have nothing for you, as you can check out the recap for Chapter 343, below.
It appears Black Clover is on a sudden break this week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #50.
Adding its upcoming break next week, the series will be absent for 2 weeks until Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #52.

Chapter 343 is mostly Asta vs Ichika. Asta activates union mode to act as a yoryoku repellent. Ichika uses another spell “Dark Yojutsu: black star”. Ichika says Dark Yojutsu is mainly for taijutsu and kenjutsu (ie physical & sword fight). Asta is keeping up with Ichika quite well. Ichika gets angry… “To become the Wizard King -same rank as Shogun-? A man without determination or ability? No way!!!!” Asta says he can feel Ichika’s anger in her ki towards him & Yami but there’s “more”.
Black Clover 343 continues as Ichika gets angry that Asta is acting like he understands her. As Asta figures out the form of his “Zetten”, he thinks he can win with a perfect execution of it (we don’t see his Zetten).. As Ryu steps in to stop them before their final clash. Afterwards Asta says he couldn’t carry Zetten out & it’s his loss. He thinks he needs a bit more time to perfect it. Ryu says, “they’re here…”. Lily – “I’ve only heard about it but it really does exist…. The land of the Sun!” This is where the chapter ends.
