Chapter begins with Nagi and Reo in Blue Lock’s bath. Reo is playing, jumping in the pool while Nagi’s just floating. Reo: Hi, I’m the guy with the 40M annual salary! Nagi: Congratulations Reo: How about you, boss? How does it feel to get 80 million a year!? Nagi: Even if I only got told of the amount, it doesn’t make sense. Anyway, we lost the game but aren’t you too happy, Reo? Reo: You haven’t seen it right, Nagi? Then Reo showed Nagi’s “super goal” video from his phone and because of that, Nagi’s name and goal is now all over the world and they should be celebrating. Nagi: But we lost. Isagi was amazing. Reo: This time, it’s fine! The fact that your “hotline*” with me being world class is more important! I’m happy that my power will make you super famous! Is your hair dry enough?

Nagi: Yeah, I’m thirsty. After that, they continued their conversation over coffee milk. Nagi: But to be honest, I can’t imagine being “the best in the world”. I’ve been playing soccer just to beat Isagi. I was so happy at that moment, it was like a dream, but it might not be possible for me to be the “best in the world” next time. I don’t really know my motivation… Then Reo said that in terms of FLOW, the “challenge” (level) is too much that “anxiety” is getting the better of Nagi. However, Nagi said that he’s not “anxious”, he just doesn’t feel motivated. That’s why Reo suggested changing the “challenge” setting (like difficulty setting) since being the “best in the world” is too much. Reo: By the way, you originally didn’t wanna work, right? Nagi: Yeah. I wanna play games forever. Reo: Then, you have to earn 300M .

Reo explained to the confused Nagi that the average lifetime earnings of a Japanese man is about that amount so by the time the Neo-Egoist League ends, he should be active and raise his bidding salary to 300M, then after that, he doesn’t have to work anymore and live just the way he wants to live. Reo: You will transcend this money-driven labor society of capitalism! You can have true freedom to do as you please! This is the true joy of being a top athlete! What do you think, Nagi? The target is 300M! Nagi: … Yeah. Then, gotta do something. By the way, it’s been a while since something like this. Reo: Huh? Nagi: It was kinda like this when I remember you invited me to play soccer. I never thought I could be this fired up. Thanks, Reo for inviting me to play soccer. Reo: Are you gonna die today? Nagi: I’m not dying. Reo: Any terminal illness? Nagi: I said I’m not.

Reo: Haha. That’s not like you to say something like that, you scared the shit outta me! You’re all grown up. Nagi: Huh. Really? I was just saying what I thought. Reo said that this is not the end for them, but their new beginning. Reo added that they’re going to use Blue Lock to win and take over Japan’s national team. Reo’s gonna be the center of it and they’ll win the World Cup. Reo: So, Nagi… you stay as you are! Let’s go, “World’s No.1” Nagi: I’ll try. Now, in Germany’s Monitor Room, Kaiser is studying Isagi’s play in his robe with a drink in a cocktail glass when Ness enters. Ness: It’s great that you are eagerly studying the matches, but your eyes will get tired, Kaiser. Here, Blue Light glasses. Kaiser: Yeah, thanks Ness. I like that about you.

Ness: Yay! Kaiser: Hey, Ness. I’ve crushed everyone I decided to crush until now. Ness: Yep, I know. Kaiser: I’ve crushed the lives of naive supernovas, 1.5 class veterans, failed former superstars… You could say that crushing other people’s lives has always been my greatest joy. And now, Japan’s new Super Ace-kun. I thought he’d be just another prey like the rest of them, but in that match, Yoichi certainly exceeded my expectations. Why do you think so? Ness: I-it… it was the result of his stupid choice to abandon the goal and come to show off to you what he can do! As a striker, I didn’t think Yoichi had beaten you yet… Kaiser splashed what he was drinking onto Ness’ face. Kaiser: I already know that. I’m just asking why he would go such lengths to defy an absolute talent like me.

For Kaiser, Isagi is like a wall getting in his way of happiness. He mentioned that Isagi’s a game master masquerading as a clown. Ness: But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re still winning! Kaiser: Tell me why I came to the Blue Lock. Ness: It… It was to show that you could play with Noel Noa and be as good as him Kaiser: It’s to use this Neo-Egoist League system to win a better offer and leave Bastard Munchen. Bastard belongs to Noa now. No matter how hard I try, I’ll always be a sub this system centered on Noa, and I’ll never be the best striker in the world here. That’s why I came to this league, to increase my market value. The clown for that sake has grown more than I expected.

If I hunt Yoichi now, my name will reverberate more all over the world… Get ready to be eaten*, Yoichi. I’ll fucking kill you!!! (TL: means ‘good or ripe enough to eat’) Ness excused himself and exited the room. Once outside, he is visibly frustrated. He’s upset that Kaiser has been like that… except for him. Ness: F*ck you, Yoichi. “Kaiser’s aspiration complete outburst! And then, another one with a “dark obsession” with the egoist, Isagi Yoichi. This infight will inevitably intensify!!”  This is where the chapter ends and the next chapter is titled “100%”.
