Blue Lock is one of the top selling manga series in the world right now and sold over 1.2 Million copies in February (#1 Rank). It is written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, and revolved around, Ego Jinpachi who is hired by the Japanese Football Union to lead the team to victory in FIFA WC.. His master plan to lead Japan to stardom is Blue Lock, a training regimen designed to create the world’s greatest egotist striker. As it happens, its anime television series adaptation produced by Eight Bit premiered in October 2022 and that led to a huge boost in its popularity. It has dethroned Slam Dunk as best selling sports manga since December 2022, as well as every other manga in the world. As it happens, Blue Lock Chapter 214 is all set to debut soon and that is exactly what this article is about.
Blue Lock Chapter 214 Spoilers and Full Plot Summary

From the previous chapter, Isagi got the first goal for Germany in their match against Italy. Aiku is looking at Isagi, thinking that Isagi’s direct shot with his left is O.P. Aiku: “But how can he be “ambidextrous” in just a few days? If that’s the case, then, his left leg is…” Then, Lorenzo approached Isagi. Lorenzo: “You’re good. You’re worth 50M, right. Is it ok that you and Micha are the double ace in the team?” Isagi: “Suit yourself. Don’t get your mark wrong, you zombie.” Lorenzo: “Don’t be so cocky with that deceiving* shot, meow~♪ (TL: word used is U/nekodamashi, a trick to deceive or confuse opponents).” After talking to Isagi, Lorenzo called out to his teammates, “Now, let’s go Ubers. Time to get down to “business”. The match restarts with Ubers possessing the ball.
Isagi *monologue*: “I scored the first one! Next! I’ll steal it again and score another…” However, Isagi noticed that Lorenzo isn’t being aggressive at all and Uber’s attack speed is rather slow. They are slowly but steadily building up their defense not to lose the ball… so Isagi thought that somewhere, he’s gonna switch to attack and that starting point is probably Barou so if he watches out for his shooting and backdooring, he can hunt him since he sees everything. Start of the Neo-Egoist League, Italy Stratum Starting Room. The Blue Lock and U-20 Japan players who chose Italy finally met their Master. Snuffy: “Welcome, lads. I’m the Master for Italy’s Ubers. I’m Snuffy. Nice to meet ya.” Both Niko and Sendo thought that he’s an easygoing one.
Snuffy: “Before we start training, I have a quick question. What is soccer for you guys? Sendo answered that it is a dream, Aryuu said that it’s the only choice while Aiku answered that it is something worth risking your life for. Snuffy: But what if it doesn’t come true? If you lose football, what are you left with? There’s nothing bad about being passionate about soccer but if the day comes when you can’t play soccer due to injuries, setbacks, or other reasons, what will you do? People who can’t answer this question are amateurs just living their dreams. Professionals are obligated to “win”. That’s how we get paid, that’s how we eat. We must not run away from the reality of it…… Soccer is “work” (business). Think of this “team”, Ubers, as a company. The matches are “how we run the business” and you are the employees.”
Snuffy also mentioned that he has taken all the player data and come up with game plans, offense and defense, scenarios… All the patterns of their “tactics”. Sendou is amazed that his playstyle is in detail and all the patterns are there. Aiku: “You have thought… all of it?” Snuffy: “Yeah. Put all these plays in your head. Back to the game. Isagi is still trying to steal the ball from Ubers. Isagi *monologue*: “It’s coming…! The rhythm of Barou’s steps changes…” Sendou passed the ball to Barou and there was Birkenstock (from BM) marking him so Isagi got the ball by intercepting the pass. Just when Isagi thought that he now completely retrieved the ball, Barou said “Finish him” then 3 Uber players began running towards Isagi. Isagi *monologue*: “The moment I got the ball, they went for a high press!? And they’re speeding up, with all their players working together… What the hell is this system…” The worried Kurona called Isagi’s name. Isagi *monologue*: “Dammit!! I don’t have time to use my eyes!! I’m just going to keep the ball and let someone else…” Before he finished that thought, Niko stole the ball from him.
Niko: “It’s a stratagem. By the time you realize it, it’s too late. Your “work” is done.” Isagi couldn’t do anything but look at Niko in Isagi *monologue*: “Seriously! They read me? Anyway, is this all “tactics”? 1st, Slow tempo and low risk while attacking. 2nd, even if they lose the ball, they speed up at once and interlock for a high press. 3rd, from there, they take the ball back and create huge opportunities with a counter shot. This is the kind of organized, super-linked attack that no single player can do alone! This team shares tactics, thoughts, and options.
