When it comes to the world of anime and manga, Naruto is arguably the most popular one out there and is loved by fans of all ages. Now even though its sequel Naruto Next Generations doesn’t enjoy the exact same popularity as its predecessor but it still has a huge fan base. Boruto: Naruto Next Generation is written by Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto and follows the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, and his ninja team. The current anime run ended with Episode 293 in March and it is not going to return anytime soon, but today we are going to talk about the upcoming chapter of the new Manga or chapter 83 in continuation. Boruto Manga Chapter 85 Spoilers and Full Plot Leaked

The chapter begins as Boruto asks how he’s been doing with training and if he’s mastered everything yet and Sasuke is like yeah… you have actually. And Boruto is like huh don’t joke around. And sasuke is like I’m not joking. Boruto is like right, now that I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever heard you make a joke… Sasuke says that Boruto is like Naruto who once saved him from straying onto the wrong path. He doesn’t care what Boruto is anymore, and says he understands why Sarada wanted to save him. “Something” is up, and if it wasn’t for Sarada’s help Boruto wouldn’t have been able to cope with that “something.” That’s what his gut is saying. That’s why he decided to help him. Code appears and Sasuke tells Boruto to run and Boruto is like I’m not leaving you. Sasuke is like we don’t have a chance at beating him rn so run. The text is cut off for a very important panel, and then Sasuke is like no one will die as long as you live. Take care of Sarada. And then he becomes a tree. Boruto sheaths the sword and is like “leave the rest to me, old man sasuke… no. Master.”
Moegi gets treed from protecting a parent and child who couldn’t escape. Team 10 is gonna work together to save her. Juubi moegi is like “team Ino-Shika-Cho and konohamaru… I feel all of their suffering and anger…” Leader dude (Jura) explains to “matsuri” (Moegi’s new name) that she’s indirectly feeling the emotions of herself that’s in the tree. You’re gonna have to wait for the actual translation to get what Jura says there cuz I don’t really understand it that well cuz his speech is friggin complicated. I might add a comment to this that translates it but I’ll have to spend some time with the dictionary. But Jura is thinking about EATING Naruto, that much is clear. That’s his “target.” Bug is like why Naruto? He isn’t an otsutsuki. Jura says they’re already shinju and unlike before they’re evolving. And all they have to do is act on instinct.
Daemon is like oi sis what’s wrong? Back to moegi she’s like we followed our instincts and the first thing that came to mind was him. I wanna try eating Konohamaru. Jura is like “good choice, matsuri. You’re feeling your identity.” Shijusuke (not his name, but shinju sasuke cuz he doesn’t have a name yet) is like I have one suspicion/doubt… what exactly are we? Jura says it doesn’t matter. Some more complicated stuff. And then “it’s useless to worry about it. What’s important is what we should be doing from now on. Our instincts will tell us. Find out who your “target” is. That will become your identity.” Eida is like huh so the ppl getting eaten by the claw grimes had their chakra sapped and turned into these guys… Bug appears and says his target Eida. Daemon is like hey you ok?! And Eida straight up says “gross”. Back to Jira. “Senrigan huh, I see…” Then shinjusuke (again Sasuke shinju) says his target is Uchiha Sarada.
Amado (inner thoughts) says he put akebi’s data in Kawaki’s Karma. He’s just waiting on making a clone for Kawaki to implant the karma in. With that he can revive her. Sumire thinks that he still believes Boruto is Kawaki, but Amado debunked Eida’s omnipotence (thinking his memories have been tampered with without knowing who did it) because he knows he is the only one who could have modified Kawaki’s body. He left a mark of his work on him as well, so it’s unmistakable that the one he modified is Kawaki and not Boruto. All he cares about is the Karma he made for Akebi’s revival. And the one who has it is Kawaki. Sumire tells Sarada and I believe Shikamaru as well that Amado realizes his memories have been tampered with. Sarada is like unbelievable… even when I showed people Boruto’s family picture with him as a kid, ppl still believed his real son was Kawaki without doubting it at all. You can’t escape omnipotence on your own. Not normally anyways. Then she remembers Sasuke. And is like but my dad…
- Cue Boruto – “Old man Sasuke, no… Master believed you. He doubted his own memories and risked his life to save mine. It was all for your sake, Sarada…”
- Hug
- “You’re late (slow), Baka Boruto.”
- “Sorry… I’m home now-ttebasa.”
Two Blue Vortex Chapter 5 Release Date and Time
According to Manga Plus, Boruto Chapter 85 will be officially released online on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in the monthly V-Jump issue along with Dragon Ball Super Chapter 100 among others. Fans can access the latest chapters of the series on both Viz and Shueisha’s Manga Plus. Obviously, the release time for the chapter will vary depending on the regions, some of which are mentioned below:
- Pacific Time – 7 am
- Eastern Time – 10 am
- British Time – 3 pm
- European Time – 4 pm
- India Time – 7.30 pm
- Philippine Time – 10 pm
- Australia Central Time – 12.30 am (December 21)
