Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc Limited Edition Blu-ray Release Date

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has set a Blu-ray release date for the record-breaking TV version of the Mugen Train arc from Season 2 of the anime series! Last Fall, the anime’s second season premiered new episodes, although it began somewhat differently than viewers had anticipated. Rather than immediately diving into fresh content from creator Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga, season 2 began with seven episodes focused on the Mugen Train arc, which was first introduced in the Mugen Train feature film that came out the previous year.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc is teased by Aniplex of America, stating, “Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku receives new orders: Travel to the Mugen Train, where over forty people have gone missing, and conduct an investigation. Leaving the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, he sets off on this new mission. Tanjiro’s group, fresh from completing their training at the Butterfly Mansion, also head to their next mission, the Mugen Train. There they rendezvous with Rengoku, who arrived ahead of them. On this train running through the darkness, a new battle is about to begin.”

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc Blu-Ray Will Have 2 Editions

While fans await the debut of the anime’s third season, Aniplex of America has disclosed that the critically acclaimed anime movie will be made available on Blu-ray on September 27, 2022, in both a standard and a limited edition. This comprises the arc’s seven episodes aired in the second season (including the newest episode revealing a new Rengoku story not seen in the previous film). The Limited Edition package will include the movie’s soundtrack on a CD, a deluxe booklet, and a rigid outer box containing new artwork from designer Akira Matsuhshima. Although the contents of each edition differ, they will both include the Japanese and English audio versions when launched. Right Stuf, the anime distributor, is now taking preorders for the Limited Edition bundle.

Demon Slayer is currently working on the anime series’ next arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, which has yet to be given a definitive release date. This arc expands beyond the happenings of the Mugen Train and Entertainment District arcs from season 2, introducing new Hashira, more powerful demons, among other additions.
