Leakers have already hyped 2024 as the year of Dragon Ball and we sincerely hope that turns out to be the case. Things have been really dead for Dragon Ball in 2023 but it seems like it is now on the right path. After the sluggish manga adaptation of the Super Hero arc, with previous chapter we finally moved on to some new content. So, realistically speaking, Black Frieza arc should begin soon and it looks like Dragon Ball Super Chapter 102 is going to be incredible. If this chapter is any indication, we are finally going to see the answer to the question fans have been asking since 2022 – how strong is Beast Gohan compared to Goku?!
Dragon Ball Super Chapter 102 Spoilers – Gohan Surprises Goku and Vegeta!
First off, let me start by saying that Dragon Ball Super Chapter 102 Summary and all raw scans have been leaked today! Following is the plot summary of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 101 based on the leaks provided by @DBSHype. Obviously, massive spoilers follow below, so read at your own risk. First of all the chapter is titled “Son Goku vs Son Gohan”. The chapter starts with Goku finally arriving on Earth, only to get Gohan, Goten, and Trunks to Beerus’ Planet. Carmine and Soldier #15 also tag along since they hid in the same car. Goku asks Gohan what he calls his new technique. “Super Saiyan 2? 3?” but Gohan replies, “Neither, it’s Beast.” Gohan confirms to Goku that he can go Beast at will as Piccolo taught him to do so. Gohan also mentions that Piccolo has also gotten incredible currently, which makes Goku want to fight Piccolo next.
Vegeta asks Trunks if did something impressive in that fight as well, to which Trunks replies that he played a huge role in it. He wishes Vegeta was there to look at their combination attacks. Vegeta requests Goku to let the boys fight Gohan first, then he can have his own turn. Overconfident Goten and Trunks think they can win against Gohan since it’s 2v1. Putting on the Saiyaman gear, X1 and X2 dispatch! Gohan turns Super Saiyan. He easily deflects Goten and Trunks’ attacks, but Goten and Trunks put up a good fight.
After a while, Gohan goes ‘Ultimate.’ Goten and Trunks call it cheating, as he went Ultimate. Gohan asks them, “What is ‘Ultimate’?” Goten and Trunks explain to him that that’s the name they’ve given to Gohan’s transformation since it didn’t have a name. Goten and Trunks decide to perform Fusion, but it fails resulting in Fat Gotenks again. Ultimate Gohan kicks him far off and wins the match. Next is Goku. Without wasting a moment, Goku goes Silver Haired Ultra Instinct and tells Gohan to turn into his strongest form as well. Beerus notes that Goku’s current Ultra Instinct is the strongest.
Gohan goes Beast. Vegeta and Goku are surprised to feel the pressure of the storming Ki of Beast. Goku vs Gohan begins. The shockwaves shake the entire Beerus’ Planet. Beerus asks Whis to put a shield over them as he’s annoyed to see his dear planet destroyed to crumbs by Goku and Gohan. Editor’s comment – “The Strongest Father-Son Showdown In The Universe Has Finally Begun!!” This is where the chapter ends!
DBS Chapter 102 Release Date and Time
As per info provided by VIZ, Dragon Ball Super chapter 102 is expected to be released on February 21, that is February 20 in Western regions in the monthly V-Jump issue. As you may know DBS is serialized in Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine which is released on the 21st of every month, barring a Sunday or holiday. When DBS chapter 102 comes out, fans will be able to read it on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and Viz Media’s Manga Plus site. The international release time for the manga series’ upcoming chapter is expected to be the following:
- Pacific Time – 8 AM (Feb 20)
- Eastern Time – 11 AM (Feb 20)
- British Time – 4 PM (Feb 20)
- European Time – 5 PM (Feb 20)
- India Time – 8:30 PM (Feb 20)
