Leakers have already hyped 2024 as the year of Dragon Ball and we sincerely hope that turns out to be the case. Things have been really dead for Dragon Ball in 2023 but it seems like it is now on the right path. After the sluggish manga adaptation of the Super Hero arc, with previous chapter we finally moved on to some new content. So, realistically speaking, Black Frieza arc should begin soon and it looks like Dragon Ball Super Chapter 102 is going to be incredible. If drafts are any indication, we are finally going to see the answer to the question fans have been asking since 2022 – how strong is Beast Gohan compared to Goku?!
Dragon Ball Super Chapter 102 Drafts Summary – Son Goku vs Son Gohan

The chapter begins with Goku saying that Gohan’s ki was impressive just now. Gohan is shocked and Goku says they can’t do much where they are right now, so they should go to Lord Beerus’ planet. Goku wants Gohan to show him his technique so he can see how strong his son has become. Gohan says he’s not using combat clothes and Goku says he’ll give him some time to get properly dressed.
Goku then asks Goten and Trunks what they’re going to do right now and they say they were going to Gohan’s house, so Goku says they should come with them. Carmine says they should run, but Goku makes Goten and Trunks get in their car. Gohan then comes back and Goku transports all of them to Lord Beerus’ planet.
Vegeta, Beerus, Whis, Broly, Cheelai and lemo are there doing exercises and Vegeta gets susprised by Trunks being there. Carmine and the henchman are extremely confused and Goku continues saying that he heard great things about Gohan’s fight against the Red Ribbon. He says they should spar like they used to do back then, to which Gohan agrees. Beerus is kinda angry but Whis tells him to let them be.
Goku asks Gohan if it’s Super Saiyan 2 or 3, but Gohan says it’s Beast mode. Goku is confused and Gohan says Piccolo chose the name, and he thinks it’s pretty cool. He asks Gohan if he can go Beast anytime he wants and Gohan says Piccolo thought him how to do it at will. Goku compliments Piccolo by saying “your master is pretty impressive” and Gohan says Piccolo’s gotten pretty strong himself. Goku says he wants to fight against him too and Vegeta asks Trunks if he didn’t fight against the Red Ribbon.
DBS Chapter 102 Release Date and Time
As per info provided by VIZ, Dragon Ball Super chapter 102 is expected to be released on February 21, that is February 20 in Western regions in the monthly V-Jump issue. As you may know DBS is serialized in Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine which is released on the 21st of every month, barring a Sunday or holiday. When DBS chapter 102 comes out, fans will be able to read it on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and Viz Media’s Manga Plus site. The international release time for the manga series’ upcoming chapter is expected to be the following:
- Pacific Time – 8 AM (Feb 20)
- Eastern Time – 11 AM (Feb 20)
- British Time – 4 PM (Feb 20)
- European Time – 5 PM (Feb 20)
- India Time – 8:30 PM (Feb 20)
- Philippine Time – 11 PM (Feb 20)
- Australia Central Time – 12:30 AM (Feb 21)
