Edens Zero Manga Chapter 216 Full Plot Summary Leaks and Spoilers + Raw Scans

Edens Zero is one of those new manga/anime series which is still struggling to find its place in this increasing anime dominated world. So far, the Edens Zero anime has just one season which received mediocre reviews, however, the manga does have a solid fan following. That is precisely the reason why it already has over 200 issues and fans hardcore continue to showcase their love for this science fantasy manga. Edens Zero has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since June 2018, and has twenty-two tankōbon volumes as of August 2022. Owing to all this a second season of the anime is also all set to premiere in April 2023 but today we are going to talk about the upcoming Edens Zero Chapter 216.

Edens Zero Chapter 216 Spoilers and Full Plot Summary

Obviously, massive spoilers (courtesy of @TotallyNotSpace) for Edens Zero Chapter 216 titled “The Lost Time Within It” follow below, so read at your own risk. Also, check out the raw scans of the pages below as they arrived a few hours ago.

Cover is a naked, smiling Elsie with glowing angel wings. The chapter begins as Shiki is shocked that the E1 was controlling Ziggy. Hermit explains that the ship’s goal is the same as what Ziggy said: to destroy Mother and erase humankind. The E1 attacks the EZ, which is in no condition to fight back. The E1 hits the EZ with a laser that pierces through the EZ’s shield, something the EZ doesn’t have. On Lendard’s surface, Elsie and James are sitting and talking by the fountain outside Elsie’s old castle. They talk about Acnoella; Elsie always knew who she really was, but she started out as a greedy, power-hungry woman who pretended to be kind, so Elsie never thought of her as a mother.

Möbius was the reason why the war started, and Elsie’s political marriage with James was meant to secure a supply route for weapons. Her family was out to conquer the Kaede Cosmos, and Elsie was too young to know how else to stop them, so she turned to countries she trusted, not knowing it would lead to war and death. She finally apologizes to James. James still doesn’t think Elsie did the right thing, but he realizes he’s just been taking his anger out on a little girl who had no other options, and curses himself for never noticing. He doesn’t know what to fight for anymore, and doesn’t even think Homura killed Creed now, understanding how narrow-minded he was and putting the name “Justice” behind him.

Edens Zero 216 continues as Elsie and James have both lost the will to fight. Elsie wants to stay on Lendard despite knowing the chronophage is coming, finally accepting the planet as her home. James decides to remain as well; they both want the chronophage to purge all the time they lost. The fight between the EZ and E1 goes on in space above, and Shiki tells the crew that the E1 is moving on its own. Connor uses all the energy the EZ has left to fast-travel away from the E1. Shiki and Rebecca watch as the chronophage eats Lendard’s time.

Time begins to reverse on Lendard’s surface, fixing all the ruined buildings. Elsie and James hold each other, remembering they’re sitting on the same spot where Elsie teased James years ago. Now kids again, Elsie asks James if he wants to kiss; James thinks of her as his first love. The chronophage finishes its meal. Shiki and Rebecca realize Elsie is gone. Xiaomei narrates: 260 years were eaten, with a very brief love story between a boy and a girl taking place in the middle of it. She announces that the story will be heading into its final battle. This is where the chapter ends and the next chapter will be called, “Father, Mother, and Daughter”
