Edens Zero is one of those new manga/anime series which is still struggling to find its place in this increasing anime dominated world. So far, the Edens Zero anime has just one season which received mediocre reviews, however, the manga does have a solid fan following. That is precisely the reason why it already has over 200 issues and fans hardcore continue to showcase their love for this science fantasy manga. Edens Zero has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since June 2018, and has twenty-two tankōbon volumes as of August 2022. Owing to all this a second season of the anime is also all set to premiere in April 2023 but today we are going to talk about the upcoming Edens Zero Chapter 217.
Edens Zero Chapter 217 Spoilers and Full Plot Summary

The cover shows Rebecca in a skimpy cat costume. The chapter begins with Xiaomei narrating the opening. One week has passed since the battle on Lendard. Holy is back with the IUA. She cancelled her plans to capture Shiki after beating Crow. Holy’s original plan was to seduce Shiki. Xiaomei mentions the crew’s dead mothers were buried on their home planets. Connor tells Rebecca he’s her father and Rebecca’s reaction is something like this, “Huh? (o.o)”
Connor says, “Call me Daddy.” and Rebecca reples, “No (x9 times)”. In the next panel we see it was actually Noah told Connor he was Rebecca’s father and Connor’s reaction too was, “Huh? (o.o)”. Noah said, “I know because of my power.” and Connor too replied, “No (x9) times”. Rebecca and Connor argue over how she was abandoned. They’re both stuffing their faces the same way. Hermit mentions a Freudian slip Connor made due to watching Rebecca’s videos (possibly cluing her in to his identity).
In the upper half of the next page we see that Connor saw a NSFW video Rebecca made an in the lower half of the page we see, well.. breasts. Next we see a bath scene with Rebecca, Labilia, Homura, and Kleene. Rebecca struggles to accept the truth. We see more bath scene and Labilia brings up an old video Rebecca made. It is in an embarrassing video of kid Rebecca wanting to meet her parents so they could cosplay as Happy. In the next panel, we see that Homura challenges Kleene out of nowhere, then remembers Elsie and makes herself sad.
Elsie’s crew doesn’t know what happened to her, Gowen or Hyoga. Shiki has trouble breaking the news. Next we see Hermit interrogating Clown. He knows the E1 was ordering the 4DS and confirms it’s a ship Ziggy built. Hermit asks how the E1 is self-aware. Clown says, “Is it so strange for a machine to have a heart?” Shiki has Sister/Clown flashback. Human(?) Clown was a doctor (an “acrobat of operation”) and Human(?) Sister was his patient. Clown looks a bit like Marin from FT (Brandish’s minion) with a small afro. The last page shows that Nox/Rachel is awake and Connor is cosplaying as Happy. This is where the chapter ends and the next chapter will be called, “Saintfire”.
EZ Chapter 217 Release Date and Time
Chapter 217 of Edens Zero is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00 AM JST. As EZ is printed in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, a brand new chapter comes out each Monday/Tuesday. Obviously, the date and time of this manga will change from nation to nation because of the totally different worldwide time zones and we have compiled a list of few of them below:
- Pacific Time: 9 AM
- Central Time: 11 AM
- Eastern Time: Midday
- British Time: 5 PM
