Even with the film in Japanese theatres, Studio Ghibli initially hasn’t leaked any trailers and footage from the film. However, now we have a video for the fans to comprehend Hayao Miyazaki’s last film. Dubbed How Do You Live in Japan, the film will be released and run with the title The Boy And The Heron.

Even though fans have the first trailer of The Boy And The Heron, the video has no footage. The first trailer of the film gives a synopsis of the last film of Hayao Miyazaki. A press release from GKids confirmed that on September 6 the “first official English teaser trailer” will be out.
The plot takes place during World War II. After Mahito’s mother passes away during the fire bombings in Tokyo. Mahito’s father moved to the countryside and there he got married to Mahito’s late mother’s pregnant sister. As Mahito struggles to keep up with his unfortunate situation, he encounters a talking heron. And, he gets into a world based on the promise of meeting his mother again.
Unfortunately, we don’t have an official release date yet. The fans will get to know about the release date soon this year. Studio Ghibli is not planning to make North American fans wait longer. The Boy And The Heron debuts September 6 in Toronto followed by a huge release before 2023 ends. Ghibli has continued bringing its classic films back to the theatres in North America. It will be fascinating to see how The Boy And The Heron does as a new release.
