Invincible season 1 arrived on Prime Video last year and was without any doubt a gamechanger. It opened to widespread critical acclaim as well as a highly positive reviews from the viewers. Owing to all that Amazon Prime announced its plans for at least two more seasons, but we still have no idea when we can expect to see its return. However, all that is now in past as Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible Season 2 release date has now been revealed and will be officially announced really soon!
Invincible Season 2 Releasing in July 2023
In our last article about Invincible Season 2, we brought you some important updates, a timeline of production and spoilers based on comics. If you want to check all that out, click here. However, what we have for you today is something major as Amazon Studios took to Invincible’s official Twitter account to hype fans up about an official announcement which is coming this month. Being as sassy as their rest of their Tweets are they said we can expect updates between Jan 2 and Jan 31, which is basically the entire month. However, a popular leaker/info provider, @MyTimeToShineHello has shared a major update about the show already.

According to MTTSH, Invincible season 2 is all se to release in July 2023 and it perfectly lines up with everything. The voice acting phase began in the month of April and now it has begun to wrap up. This also means that most of the primary animation for the series must have also been wrapped up since voice acting work usually begins after the storyboards and primary animatics are crafted. But this also means that a lot of animation work is still to be done including the reanimation and integration of all the voiced scenes. Then there’s smoothening the editing and other post production activities and then finally marketing and release. So, considering all this, it still quite a few months away.
IMDB also mentions season 2 release slate of 2023. Our earlier guess was a March 2023 release for Invincible season 2 as it’s the exact same month season 1 came out. But now its pretty clear it will take longer and July 2023 perfectly fits the hypothesis. That is pretty much all about Invincible Season 2 for today and we’ll be back as soon as any major update pops up. So stay tuned!
