When Yuta Okkotsu from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 appeared in the trailer, we knew that things weren’t going down smoothly. It is like two MCs of the same anime will clash against each other.
It feels like the ideal full-circle moment when he returns. Yuta’s relationship with Rika made him famous in the film, and now he’s back to put Yuji to the test. The trailer teases a fierce fight between two of the most adored protagonists, but Yuji isn’t going down.
Epic Showdowns Beyond Yuji vs. Yuta
The trailer teases more than just Yuji’s struggles. We see Naoya Zen’in clashing with Choso, Megumi Fushiguro readying his shadows, and Maki Zen’in preparing for war (cool to add that she looks different, but so badass). Fans already know what to expect from MAPPA’s return to animation in Season 3: jaw-dropping fight scenes. The continuity is maintained with the return of writer Hiroshi Seko and director Shota Goshozono. The same emotional depth is promised by returning voice actors Yuma Uchida (Megumi), Junya Enoki (Yuji), and Megumi Ogata (Yuta).
