One Punch Man Season 3 Release Date, Plot, Cast, and More

One Punch Man is a Japanese superhero manga series created by One, which wrote the original webcomic manga version in early 2009. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who, because he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows bored from a lack of challenge. As of now One Punch Man manga just debut chapter 189 earlier this month. But today we are going to talk about One Punch Man Season 3 which is all set to debut soon. Here’s absolutely everything you need to know about it.

One Punch Man Season 3 Release Date and Teaser

One Punch Man Season 2 aired between April 10 and July 3, 2019. After many speculations and rumors, season 3 was confirmed in August 2023 alongside a poster featuring Saitama and Garou. The visual as you can see above, was drawn by Oath Kubota. Now it has been 1 year and 1 month since  One Punch Man Season 3 was announced and we are still waiting for any new information about anything. However, a couple of days ago, a tweet by @animetv_jp sparked a lot of discussions about the upcoming season. The tweet was pretty simple and just asked if fans were ready for Season 3, but it quickly became one of the most trending tweets in the anime world with nearly 1M views as of now.

Although, fans might be reading too much into it but a question needs to be asked – where the hell is season 3? So, here’s the thing. Even though the season was speculated to release in 2023 after the announcement, it was never going to happen before end of the year. So, the thing that is bothering everyone is that we haven’t heard any updates about it at all. That would end pretty soon as Jump Fiesta 2024 is just around the corner and we will most definitely see a Season 3 trailer during the event. But even so Jump Fiesta will take place mid-December 2023 and we can only expect Season 3 after that. Therefore, the potential release date for One Punch Man Season 3 is most likely going to December 2023 or early 2024 at the earliest.

Season 3 Plot, Cast, and Characters

Season 2 ended with the emergence of Garou, the Hero Hunter and the arrival of the Monster Association. We saw Garou being beaten by Bang and taken away by the Phoenix Man to Monster Association HQ. Therefore, One-Punch Man Season 3 will pick up from this point, that is, Chapter 86 of the manga named “Is it Because I’m Caped Baldy?”. The second season covered nearly 8 chapters of the Monster Association Arc which began with chapter 78 and ended with chapter 170. So, lasting over 90 chapters, One Punch Man Season 3 will surely not be able to fully adapt the Monster Association arc and the story might easily stretch till season 5.

So, if you are have read the manga, you already know that the upcoming seasons would be a sheer delight and pack a lot of punches. If you haven’t read it, well then, we’ll surely not spoil it for you guys. Anyways, here’s the expected cast of Season 3:
