Pokemon is a Japanese media franchise created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996. The franchise is managed by the Pokemon company and it was founded by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. The TV series of the Pokemon franchise began in 1997 and is still going on till this day. The series over the course of so many years has garnered many viewers and has an absolute humungous fan base. The central characters of the show were always Ash and his assister Pikachu, who is a Pokemon. Pikachu is I think one of the most famous characters in Pop Culture today. The yellow furry ball of lighting in extremely cute. The show has had 2002 seasons in its runtime of 25 years. The premise of the series revolves around:
“A Pokemon master, along with his small group of friends, travels around the world to capture as many pocket monsters as he can.” The motive or want of Ash who is very much the protagonist of the series is for him to become world champion, however, throughout the years, this laurel has alluded Ash until very recently when he finally conquered the world and became World Champion. As Ash has become world champion and achieved his one goal, it seems like he is retiring from the franchise for good.
Pokemon: Ash and Pikachu Are Leaving us For A New Duo?
After Ash claimed the title of world champion fans were elated and believed that the series would continue as the anime’s star as the top of the food chain. However, this news stormed the entire world when it was announced that the Pokemon series would no longer focus on Ash and Pikachu as they’re being replaced by to focus on new trainers when the anime eventually returns. The new protagonists Liko and Roy are set to be the new stars of the television series.
Pokemon Journeys will end but the new region introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be explored when Ash’s story comes to a close. As much as you’d hate it you have to face the cruel reality that Ash and Pikachu would no longer be the part of the series and their journey with us had ended. 25 years of bonding but it has to end someday. I hate it as much as you do but what can you do. Emotional fans have bid adieu to their favorite characters on Twitter as they’re processing this news.
An all-new Pokémon series has been announced!
Join 2 new characters and 3 Paldea starter Pokémon as they adventure through the Pokémon world! Plus, commemorate Ash’s journey with special episodes concluding Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.

automated ooo reply: sorry I am unavailable right now, I am in mourning over Ash and Pikachu being sunsetted as the main Pokémon anime protagonists. If it is an emergency you can find me crying into my pile of pikachu plushies. pic.twitter.com/iBCqyk91ZD

As someone who grew up in a family where every child was a huge Pokémon fan, this feels so surreal. Ash has been there literally all my life and now his story comes to an end and we say goodbye, that makes me weirdly emotional? 🥹 Thank you for all the good years, I’ll miss you. https://t.co/oh6oqsgyNT
