Marvel Cinematic Universe is a force to be reckoned with and one thing which has made MCU so big is its shared universe crossovers and references. We see some or the other references to the greater Marvel universe in every project of MCU and that is how it has been since 2008’s Iron Man. One of the connecting ties of MCU has been Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury as he brought all these characters who we love together. But ever since Endgame he has been out in space living among the Skrulls trying to figure something out. Well, Marvel’s Secret Invasion is where we learn what Fury has been up to and what possible role he’d play in the future of MCU. But today’s article is not about him.
Emilia Clarke ‘s Secret Invasion Character Leaked
Apart from S.L. Jackson, award winning actors including Olivia Coleman, Ben Mendelsohn, and Emilia Clarke will also be a part of this ambitious production. We know Ben Mendelsohn is playing Talos, he leader of a Skrull sect and an ally of Fury, while Olivia Coleman id playing Sonya Falsworth, s special agent who is an old ally of Fury’s. However, we still do not know what role exactly Emilia Clarke plays in Secret Invasion but we that is in the past as today we have some major info about the subject.
According to insider Daniel RPK, Clarke’s character is called G’iah and, as oft-theorized, is a Skrull and the daughter of Talos, who returns as one of the series’ leads. Through set photos and a trailer, Clarke has only ever been seen as a human and according to Wikipedia and many other sources, in her human form she’ll be playing Abigail Brand. In the comics, Brand was an Agent of S.W.O.R.D. working to intercept extraterrestrial threats to Earth. Given that Clarke’s character has been seen working so closely with Gravik in set photos, it’s possible she could be a S.W.O.R.D. spy.
But at the same it is entirely possible that she is actually G’iah, who instead is spying on S.W.O.R.D. That basically fits both the theories and also reflects Marvel’s secrecy on the subject. I mean, if she was simply Abigail Brand or simply G’iah, Marvel would have revealed it. So, there surely has to be a twist attached behind her character which Marvel is trying to hide. Therefore, it is our personal conclusion that she will be both G’iah as well as Abigail Brand (or some other SWORD Agent).
Guess we’ll see for ourself soon enough as Secret Invasion is all set to release in early 2023.
