Yesterday Netflix dropped the bombshell that is Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2’s trailer. The explosive trailer gave us a lot new footage and created us a lot of buzz around for it. While there were a lot of theories surrounding the last two episodes of Season 4, the trailer’s new footages might’ve breathed life into some theories while rendered others moot. Vol. 1 left us on the cusp of an epic conclusion and the trailer teases of the same. It suggests an epic clash between Hawkin’s heroes and Vecna for one final time and the eerie vibe around it suggests unlike the previous seasons our heroes may not prevail over this evil. However, like the previous seasons we can expect a emotionally rich finale that is not shy of killing our favorite characters.
The gives us goosebumps with the inclusion of Kate Bush’s Running Up the Hill in the trailer but also gives a hint about grabbing tissues while watching the final two episodes. With the final episode clocking at 2 hrs. 19 minutes that is bigger than a feature film, we can expect a finale that will blow our minds. So, with the help of the new trailer lets see what the die-hard fans have theorized about Vol. 2 and the leaks that we’d gotten before Vol. 1’s release. Does everything tie up here. What about Eddie’s guitar scene that was there in every promotional material from the start, is it he red herring or is his big send off is spoiled by Netflix itself. Stranger Things 4 Will and Eddie Die?
While the previous Stranger Things seasons have killed characters, they all were seasonal character like Bob Neuman. Hopper who supposedly does in Season 3 was an exception but he made a comeback but Alexi died anyways. So the characters most likely to bite the dust include Eddie, Enzo and Murray; I think the possibility of a core member of the gang bidding us adieu is more likely than ever. The theories of fans suggest it to be Will and that would be an absolutely heart breaking end for his character. Seeing his journey from the first season, it has been quite tragic and an end like that might be one of the saddest.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Stranger things trailers. They spoil so much stuff that between the trailers and the leaks we can put together almost the entire plot, but they're so freaking beautiful and masterfully done that I'm always left absolutely speechless

My Take
All these leaks above are indeed very close to reality and I can see some of these things unfold in the last two episodes. Some of them I believe are too direct to be true. Like character deaths won’t be shown just like that in the trailer of the biggest show for Netflix. So, Eddie who seems like an important character for the show’s future, his end coming so soon doesn’t feel right. However, Enzo dying is like a sure shot as he is not someone I see adding anything to the show’s future, so the best he can do is sacrifice himself for others. Although, if they really has pull some strings they can kill off Murray who has become a fan favorite character of the show since the 2nd season.
Having said that, I do think that someone from the main group is going to die and my prediction is its either Steve or Will. Steve’s death would be absolutely especially since his romance with Nancy seems to have rekindled and there is a potential love triangle. Will’s death as suggested seems likely as his death would draw in the most tears. Also, I think this time we won’t have a happy ending or rather even a bittersweet end like the previous three seasons, I think this season will end on a dark note that will be a reckoning for Season 5 that is the show’s final season as well. Anyways everyone including the Duffer Brothers is calling it the Darkest Season yet, and it does give out those vibes.
