7 Best Shows to Watch While You Wait for Emily in Paris Season 4

Whether you are waiting for Emily in Paris Season 4 for Emily or her outfits or the escapist aspect of the show, there’s sad news. Unfortunately, it will be a while till the Season 4 releases. Due to the ongoing Hollywood writer’s and actor’s strike, the production of Season 4 has been halted. Season 4 might drop around December 2024, however, there is no official announcement yet. The Carrie Diaries (2013)

This show is the prequel to Sex and the City. You must watch The Carrie Diaries if you want to watch something closer to a coming-of-age story. The Carrie Diaries follows Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) as she starts an internship in the city. She also falls in love for the first time and deals with heartbreak and household drama.

Jane the Virgin (2014)

Jane the Virgin showcases one of the best love triangles. Throughout the five seasons of the show, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is stuck between two men, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Michael (Brett Dier). However, the show is more than just a love triangle. Much like Emily, Jane is also at a crossroads in her life. So, even though the viewers start watching it for the romance, they stay to watch the evolution of the young woman.

Call My Agent (2015)

Set in France and about French people, Call My Agent like Emily in Paris focuses on people who work. Four agents at a Parisian talent agency navigating their careers and trying to keep their personal and professional lives separate. Things in the agency get shaken up after the demise of the founder, leaving the agents responsible for keeping the firm going. The show stars Camille Cottin as Andrea, Thibault de Montalembert as Mathias, Gregory Montel as Gabriel, and Liliane Rovere as Arlette.

The Bold Type (2017)

The Bold Type stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy. These three women in their 20s work at the fictional fashion magazine, Scarlet. Inspired by the life and career of Joanna Coles, former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief, the series explores women’s issues as they try to choose and navigate a career. Filled with drama, romance, topics of difficult times, and more, The Bold Type is a must-watch if you like Emily in Paris. 

Sweetbitter (2018)

Much like Emily in Paris, Sweetbitter deals with a young woman trying to figure out her new life with a new career in a new place. Tess (Ella Purnell) ends up in NYC and lands a waitressing job at a high-end restaurant. The show revolves around Tess as she finds a new bunch of friends, and explores the culture, and romantic relationships.
