All 4DX Theatres in Delhi NCR (2025) – Which One’s the Best

In 2016, PVR Logix Noida and PVR Ambience Gurgaon introduced Delhi NCR to the thrill of 4DX. Two years later, Delhi city got its own 4DX screen at PVR Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar. Fast forward to 2025, and the region now offers a total of eight theatres with motion-enhanced experiences — seven of them equipped with 4DX, and one running on MX4D, a slightly different format. Following are all the 4DX theatres in Delhi NCR in no particular order:

  1. Cinepolis: DLF Avenue, Saket, Delhi
  2. PVR: Superplex, Vegas Mall, Dwarka
  3. PVR: Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar, Delhi
  4. PVR: Superplex, Logix, Noida
  5. PVR: Superplex, Mall of India, Noida
  6. PVR: Ambience Mall, Gurgaon
  7. PVR: MGF, Gurgaon
  8. INOX: Pacific Mall, Jasola, Delhi (MX4D screen)

Which is the Best 4DX Theatre in Delhi NCR?

Among the current crop, Cinepolis: DLF Avenue, Saket sets a high bar. This theatre offers a balanced 4DX experience where the effects are immersive without being overwhelming. Instead of just relying on jerky seat movements, water sprays, or blinding lights, Cinepolis blends fog, scent, bubbles, wind, and even snow into the storytelling. The result feels more cinematic and less like a theme park ride.

PVR: Superplex, Vegas Mall, Dwarka delivers a similarly polished experience. Its 4DX setup focuses on enhancing the film rather than hijacking it. The picture and sound quality hold up well, and the motion sync is precise — creating an environment where action, emotion, and effects work in tandem.

PVR Superplex at Mall of India, Noida, being one of the newer entrants, benefits from upgraded technology and newer seating. That translates to smoother transitions, better responsiveness to scene changes, and a more enjoyable overall ride. For Noida residents, it’s a strong and convenient pick.

If you’re nearby, PVR MGF Gurgaon also offers a decent 4DX experience. While not as refined as the top options, it delivers on the basics without too many hiccups. It might not dazzle, but it certainly doesn’t disappoint either.

Which 4DX Theatres to Avoid in Delhi NCR

Some of the older venues have unfortunately fallen behind in terms of both maintenance and tech. PVR Logix Noida, once a frontrunner, now often feels like an aggressive carnival ride. Seat movements can be uncomfortably rough, and the effects rarely go beyond the basics — water splashes, flashes, and loud jolts that often feel out of sync with the film.

PVR Ambience Mall, Gurgaon shares a similar fate. Once a favorite, it now needs serious upgrades. While the sound and visuals are passable, the 4DX effects feel underwhelming or erratic. The immersive element that 4DX promises just doesn’t quite land anymore.

PVR Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar, while better than the above two, also has its share of issues. It has been known to suffer from technical glitches which frustratingly break the suspension — from mistimed effects to screen blackouts at crucial cinematic moments (like Avengers Assemble moment in Endgame). While not every visit is a letdown, the inconsistency makes it a gamble, especially when you’re paying a premium price.

Delhi NCR’s One and Only MX4D at INOX: Jasola

INOX at Pacific Mall, Jasola offers Delhi NCR’s only MX4D experience, which is similar to 4DX but with a few distinct differences. MX4D incorporates unique seat-based features like leg ticklers, back pokers, and blasts of air and scent aimed at different parts of the body. The seats themselves are plusher and the motion is generally more fluid. It feels like a slightly more refined version of 4DX in some ways.

However, the drawback is its limited content availability. Very few films are released in MX4D format, and as a result, the screen often sits idle most of the weeks. When it’s working, it’s great. When it’s not — which is often — it’s simply not an option.

Conclusion

Delhi NCR has come a long way in its 4DX journey, offering a wide range of options depending on your location and preferences. While some older setups are showing signs of wear, newer and better-managed theatres are keeping the format alive and exciting. If you’re picking a 4DX show in 2025, a little research can go a long way in ensuring your ride is as memorable as the movie itself.
