Amazon Prime Video’s live-action adaptation of God of War keeps piling up news. This week, two major castings sent the internet into chaos. The series already had gamers excited by Ryan Hurst as Kratos, but now Teresa Palmer and Max Parker are joining the ensemble in mythic roles that promise major Norse universe drama.
Teresa Palmer Takes On Sif
Teresa Palmer, known for roles in The Fall Guy and Warm Bodies, is officially cast as Sif, a Norse goddess associated with family and wheat, and the wife of Thor. This casting comes straight from credible reports and has stirred a lot of fan reactions on social platforms like Reddit. Many fans are surprised because Sif did not play a big part in the 2018 game and only appeared more fully in God of War Ragnarok.

In the games, Heimdall has the ability to see far and wide, essentially predicting actions before they happen. Reports describe the TV version as confident, handsome, and hungry to prove himself. This sets up an intriguing clash with Kratos and the other gods. Fans on Reddit have already started speculating about how his storyline will work in the show. Especially since Heimdall doesn’t appear until much later in the games. Many see his inclusion as confirmation that this adaptation will not stick strictly to the source material.
