Baldur’s Gate 3 is an absolute hit for Larian Studios. The RPG has swiftly become a sales behemoth. It even dethroned The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as the highest-rated game of 2023. With this level of popularity, it’s not surprising that several players want to grab the Collector’s edition. Currently, the Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition is tough to get unless you are willing to pay more than $1,000 on eBay.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Now Available on PC and PS5
Kotaku noted that over the last week, the value of Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition has blown up on eBay. Looking at the popularity of the game, resellers are presently selling off copies of this special edition. They are selling the copies at a cost as high as $2,000. A price range like this makes it clear that demand is not slowing down anytime soon.
Late last week, someone bought the physical dice from the edition at a price of over $400. The original retail price of the bundle is $269.99. On the same day, the Mind Flayer statue also sold for $1,299.99. This is again five times the cost of the full bundle at its original retail price.
A price range like this is not odd or surprising on the second-hand market. Anyone who tried to buy an Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 when those consoles launched can confirm this. However, seeing the high price point of the Collector’s Edition, there is zero doubt about how popular the game has become. Good news! Now you don’t have to buy the Collector’s Edition to play this game. Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PS5 on September 6, and it is available now on PC.
